The G-Men are underdogs because of all the national media worship of the NEW Mike Vick...Newton is who he is , a 2nd year QB who has done exactly squat as far as leading his team to wins against good teams..the Panthers went 6-10 last season but you'd never know with all the drum beating about "Super Cam!!!", the "FUTURE" star here now...well...look at this game...the identifiable star is Eli Manning and the overmatched, lost in the weeds Cam is completely outclassed.
Next weekend, the headlines will be "he had a hiccup...growing pains...Vick had those...bounce back...too much talent...he's a gamer...good experience against the champions...nothing to be ashamed of...blah blither blah blah blab blabber bla..."....
It's what, eight years later and you STILL get "Michael Vick is the greatest QB in the league!!! watch this 2nd half tonight and zone in on the offensive linemen for the Giants...see how many times you spot one holding outside the chest high up on the pads...then, first thing in the morning, catch the spin on ESPN 2, the de facto NY sports ballwashing network in the US, Mike and Mike...you'll think the Giants are so good the rest of the league should forfeit.
