I’m guessing it didn’t come with an owners manual, or he missed the part that said to warm up and stretch more carefully than his older thinner muscles required.A soft tissue injury can be a mild sprain. I don't think we should be worried until about five weeks from now if he starts the preseason on the PUP.
More like Mr. Glass!!!
Report: Patriots WR Tyquan Thornton placed on IR with shoulder injury
For a second straight year, the New England Patriots are placing wide receiver Tyquan Thornton on injured reserve with a shoulder injury to start the season. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler and Mike Reiss reported the news on Wednesday. It's a disappointing turn of events for…patriotswire.usatoday.com
I rest my case.
I see this as a pretty big setback for Thornton....
Did Thornton have injury issues in college?
Yep. Then he will probably be out for Weeks 6-10.He can come back on week 5.
I know little of Pop - I've seen him on a couple of plays, obviously, but the Pats seemed to know they had something very early on, and his skill set is needed and almost unique on the team.
Boutte is just a flat-out better WR than Thornton, is my bet...
Just watching him, I can see that he loses nothing in terms of speed with his changes of direction. He's a deep-cross/seam/slant waiting to happen, and look out if you give him any space once he snatches that ball.
It truly is amazing to me how many times I read posts like this, whining about Pats fans who don't agree with them. You need to lighten up and not get so damn defensive any time there's even a hint of criticism. He broke his collar bone when multiple defenders all landed on him at the same time last preseason and after a vague report of a soft tissue injury not otherwise specified during OTAs, the kid gets labeled as injury prone by the douchebag-think-they-are-humorous-but-aren’t segment of Pats Nation.
You have no idea what the injury is or how severe is it….ie. you know nothing, so par for the course with you and your ilk. It could be any number of injuries, including something as benign as a thigh bruise. It is also possible that he would be practicing, if if were the regular season.
I am hoping that he ends up being a major factor in this season, not only for the benefit of the team, but also so that he can stick it up the corn holes of the Fellowship of the Miserable.
soft as glassSoft tissue? What soft tissue?
