This is a great day in the history of the New England Patriots: Bills locking up Taylor long term

That's only if they pick up his option, no?
so your argument is they pay him 9.5 mill this year then when he isn't worth this contract they cut him and get out of the stupid 27.5 they are going to pay him in 2017, and that makes it a smart contract?
They are paying him the 27.5 mill, they have to, unless they go 5-11 and fire Rex (which is realistic possibility) and the next new guy wants to start all over again. In that case why write the deal?
Giving market $$ for a career backup who had one decent season is stupid and just because there is the chance to admit it was stupid in 7 months and cut him doesn't make it any less stupid.

He was about as great as Nick Foles was in 2013. So, pretty much, he's great at being an average game manager.

Nick had one of the best QB seasons this decade(119 passer rating/9.1 YPA)

That's a compliment

Tyrod last year completed 63% of his passes,8 YPA, 20 Tds to 6 picks(3 were in one game) and a 99 passer rating.

That's not a "decent year". He was great, especially in the context of It being his first season as a starting QB.

I'm not arguing anything. That was a legit question. You always think someone is arguing with you. I see your posts. Settle down. Damn.. As a matter of fact, you don't even have to respond. I really don't care about this topic that much, bruh.

Yeah, it's team friendly for 2016, but 27.5m for 2017? LOL. He better be 2010 Mike Vick this year if he wants a dime of that 27m next year.
9.5 isn't team friendly when he was already under contract. They are pretty much stuck on the 27.5 unless they want to admit they were wrong 7 months later.

It's basically a 2 years deal. Taylor gave up all leverage and it's obvious the Jill's don't believe in him.

1)0-5 when asked to throw 30+

2) No game winning drives

3) Will not or Can not throw rec's open. Will only hit the open man. Cant throw into tight spaces.

4) Looked a little worse in the 2nd division games

5) One read and go guy. Also that team doesn't have the weapons to help his intermediate/short game, especially in the middle of the field where he struggles.

Let's also remember this. Fins, Jets and Jill's are all known as average, below average teams. They get their wins by beating up on bad teams. With the occasional win over us.

All they play is the big boys this year. None are known for beating great teams and that's all they get. Also the rest of the East has serious depth issues.

Mark this post. As long as we go 2-2 to start the year all 3 will be done by Halloween.

where is "here"?...sounds like a Tower of Power tune

I give this deal an A+ grade for the Bills. Very little downside.

Cap numbers
2016 = 6,919,573
2017=15,913,334
2018=16.78m
2019=17.38m
2020=17.63m
2021=17.65m

Deal allows Bills to place franchise tag on Stephon Gilmore in 2017.

If the Bills do not pick up the option, their dead money hit in 2017 is a whopping $2,853,334 and they may get a compensatory pick in 2018.

So, it's a win-win for them and us. That's pretty rare.
