I don’t know if failing to report voids guarantees - I would be surprised if it did - but I do know it can carry hefty fines.

Maybe he is in the building
Zolak and Perry talked about him being on the sidelines, so he seems to have been present.

They were, however , writing him off.

I think they are shopping him.
A little too early for that. What would the return be, a 7th, maybe a 6th. Better to hang on to him and see if he has anything to offer and can develop some. Injuries happen all the time, a crowded WR room could get thinned out really quickly with a couple of bad breaks.

Which can be waived for rookies but not veterans.

"I don't know how they can play in diapers Cotton...I never could.."

He'd have to be an NFL caliber wide receiver to help out. He's not. Have you seen how slow he is? His lack of suddenness? Bright side is I think he graded out as the worst receiver in the NFL last year, so he can't get any worse.

A 7th would give us cap relief and allow us to move on. What we don't want is for him to be injured in camp and go on IR.

That's the second worst case scenario.

The worst is that they decide to give him a second chance because of the contract and he lays another egg.

You can’t shop something that has no value.
Well, you can, that's why there is EBay and FB Marketplace and about 100K yard sales every weekend.

Don’t challenge him. He’s starting this camp with a good strategy to meet that challenge.

And again Im shocked that we opted for Polk instead of Ladd McConkey. It was obvious on draft day that we made a huge mistake.
Well, let's just blame the condiment that shall not be named and move on regardless if the person(s) responsible might be around still. We should put a little more helium in the balloons and f*cking take off.

I am not apologizing for Polk
he came out of school showing a lot of talent at Wash, and looked good last summer
he had a good start of season for a rookie with a bad QB. 13 targets. 8 rcpts. 1 TD.
game 7 he concussed against Jax and missed the rest of that game, and the following game.
the rest of the season he saw 7 targets, and at some point injured his shoulder that he needed surgery.
he is 23 years old
I am not writing him off yet

Only the Harry/Thornton/Jackson apologists think Polk will make this team.

I am not one of those guys, but none of us really know for sure how dire the coaching was last year. We think we know, but I willing to bet it's worse than we think. Now we've removed that element. It's on the player to take to the coaching and either sink or swim. Do I think he's way behind? Yup. I think making a concrete, black and white statement that "he's not going to make it" is premature at this point. I would not be surprised if he doesn't make the 53, and I'd be surprised/shocked if he's in the starting lineup week 1.
