NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION The Super Bowl 56 game thread

Not much else to say. If you can’t get 1 yards in 3 tries with the SB on the line then you deserve to lose.
Yup. They can cry about the holding call against 55 the drive prior, but they also got away with the face mask vs Ramsey on that TD to Higgins

You have a RB that average 4.8 y/c in the game and you don’t give him the ball on 3rd & short. That’s coaching malpractice.

It was the exact same thing the first drive of the game.

Both coaches stunk it up. In the end the players won the game and what better way to end it with the best defensive player in the game doing the honors.

Stafford has the most 4th quarter comebacks since 2009…

Perfectly summed up this SB for me

Yeah…I noticed this live too. It brought back memories of the Chiefs getting away with multiple offsides and false starts penalties two years ago.

The entire o-line except the center move before the snap…it gets called like 99 out of 100 times. Blown calls do happen, but I don’t understand how a ref can possibly miss this. And then after the “oh, let em play“ decision, out comes the game changing call for a phantom defensive hold. 10 yard swing…two horrible calls, both in favor one team.

In my opinion, this SB prove the need to keep the crews together in the playoffs. Those « all-star » crews are awful.

Bengals reverted to Bungles just in time for the Rams. Burrow and Chase may never sniff another Superbowl in their careers. Only needed another 10-15 to give their kicker a legitimate shot to tie. Those three pathetic attempts to get a yard will haunt Cincinnati fans for years.

I don’t know about the Bengals situation but in my opinion if they can improve their OL this offseason which is not hard to do they will be a top team in the AFC the next few years. IMO. Will they make it to the SB again, I don’t know but I think they will be AFC champion contender

Maybe. Who knows how much other teams might improve, including us hopefully. Just think this was their moment and they blew it.

I don’t. I thought the opposite. The Rams have sold their futur for this ring and thanks to the refs they didn’t blew it. If the Rams had lost they would have been screwed.

Offensively the bengals are set. Boyd and Higgins are under contract until 2023, Mixon 2024, Chase 2025. With a better OL they can be a very good offense and for now they have the 3rd most cap space in the league. I don’t think they are going away just yet.

Wow, the Bengals got the old referred screw job. How is that called PI?
If they had called the entire SB like that I could have lived with it but they let them play for 58 minutes and suddenly decide that they should call it

The worst is that they ignored a blatant false start on the entire Rams OL on the same play.

With the story that owners are paying head coaches to purposefully lose games, I am more and more convinced now that the league wanted the Rams to win.

How about nothing? It's not necessary to always have eyes glued to a TV show or movie during spare time.
Then watch nothing then

Lots of people are saying the Bengals will be back. Seems like the thing to say after a loss.

I’m not so sure they’ll be back. I think a lot of things went their way and this might have been their only shot. Could miss the playoffs completely next season.

Getting to the SB is hard.

You could be right. But it's very hard to get to a Superbowl. Not every fanbase had a season ticket like we did. To get to that point... midfield, one yard for a first, 10-15 for a legit field goal try. Dunno, they'll be doing very well to get that close again.
