NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION The Super Bowl 56 game thread

Close game, but 7 sacks is ridiculous. O-line for bengals was horrendous. Can not put blame on Burrows.

One of them was a running play to their second RB and not Mixon for some weird reason. He got immediate pressure on 4th down had to throw up a prayer backwards will being sacked for a record 9th or 10th time in a Super Bowl.
I was wrong actually. He had 3 plays to get 1 yard.

3 straight QB sneaks would of been a better play then the 3 they chose.

I’m not a fan of Herbert. He’ll be talked about plenty. But I see an INT machine who shows at times. But never when you need him.
He took hit after hit in the Raiders game and stayed in there throwing darts, on target. Gutsy performance.

I wonder how many more SBs we'll be watching with no interest in the outcome in the coming years. That would suck.

Second straight year Super Bowl went to the “dumb and desperate team” that was most aggressive and built a team the stupid way with star players even though that doesn’t work in the NFL.

@Joker , I have just rectified a failing on my part - here is the very first Reface I *should* have done:

While the pats watch from their couches

I hate the Rams, but this is a terrible take.

I was thinking in the 4th quarter that if the Bengals win, they will indeed be the worst SB champion I can remember. Much worse than the 2001 Patriots, who were actually great but no one realized how good some of those players were at the time.

Yep. I'm acutely glad that happened, now cheap owners don't have an excuse to not spend.

The Bengals TD occurred with a full half to play. The Rams were given a dozen chances within the 10 yard line to win the Super Bowl with less than 2 minutes to play. One was a missed call that wasn't even obvious until you slow it down in replay. The others were deliberate choices to decide the outcome of the game.

That seems like the exception to the rule. Also interesting how it seemed like teams with the best WR (or a top 3 WR) would never win Super Bowls... although this year it was either Kupp or Chase leading their team to a ring.

Kupp just had one of the greatest seasons ever by a player.

Triple Crown
Offensive Player of the Year
Superbowl MVP

2011 Giants and 2007 Giants were pretty bad which makes it more painful lol

Not much else to say. If you can’t get 1 yards in 3 tries with the SB on the line then you deserve to lose.
