The pats need to make a switch at slot WR

Can we make a s

Can we make a switch @ Young QB too?? I mean while we're at it.

The Jets OC has clearly done a better job getting their offense prepared for week 1. Fields, prior looked clueless playing QB, but yesterday he looked confident.

As good as a HC Vrabel is, if his coordinators aren't good, he's gonna be cooked. Lions about to find out how valuable their coordinators were.
IF Caleb Williams looks the part Tonight with Ben Johnson: we're going to wonder. What if?

IF Maye played like Geno Smith yesterday we win. Geno torched us again on Different Team. IF Maye's ceiling is Geno Smith I would take it.
Let's hope it dont take until Drake turn 30 like it took smith.. .. twin you have to remember gino have a all PRO TE that open up the offense for him... remember what gronk and Hernandez did for us??...

Once we were locked in at #3, I thought the best option after Caleb and Jayden was Penix. He looked like a real NFL QB yesterday.

Can we Trade for Michael Mayer?? They don't need Two TE's of that caliber I'm not a fan of H Henry.

Maher was only open cuz of Bowers.. you take Bowers away he goes back on LV bench..

I can't wait for when this offense comes together...

The pats offense can’t operate without a reliable slot WR. Maye also needs a quick outlet that has a good feel for zone coverage. Douglas has proven that he can’t be a high volume slot WR.

Evan's statement is true, and your take shows that you are a total clown. Open receivers was not the problem yesterday.

Why? What’s the point. If you’re not on the road to play for a Super Bowl you’re wasting your time

I wouldn’t.
A team could win a SB with Geno Smith if they surrounded him with an elite defense and a top tier OL.
If you are not in a position to draft a top tier can't miss QB, I would say Geno Smith is a pretty good plan B.
He will win many more games this year than Drake.

According to some people here Maye looked great in preseason and was ready to go.
Maye looks like a 22 year old kid who had AVP and Mayo as his coaches last year. Josh needs time to fix him, and the way you do that is through live game action, film, and development.

Beggars can't be choosers.

Why is it so hard for some fans to criticize the QB position?

And not for nothing but it’s usually the same crowd who tell us repeatedly that QB’s are entirely responsible for everything.

So they get all of the credit and none of the blame, even when they make obvious stupid errors.

It must be great to be the QB… fanboys will make excuses for you all day long.

I think people overly criticize a young 2nd year QB who hasn't even started 16 games yet, so the other side needs to overcorrect and defend him. The fair assessment is probably somewhere in the middle. He has had accuracy and turnover issues at times but he shows a lot of promise at a position that's hard to nail down. So we can't just give up on him and start calling him Mac Jones 2.0 already

I agree, he is young and inexperienced… but the sky is still blue, and water is still wet.

Nothing good can come from shifting blame, blaming the “weapons” or system when those same weapons were wide open and our QB simply threw above or behind them.

Accountability for everyone… that has been my posting experience for decades. I can’t change. The whole team looked unprepared and not ready. Coaches need to do better, it trickles down from there. Maye’s QB coach, Josh or Vrabel need to get up in that ass this week.

Wozzy spot on. However I would say there were lots to be encouraged enough about. Drake made big time throws shades of his potential. Defense made actual adjustments and shut the raiders down in the first half. We had control of this game.

Our running game being a non factor was the reason we had no play action passing. Campbell held his own..

Maybe we are back in the QB hunt in 2026. Wait for the calls for DeVito.
I am not calling for DeVito but it is hard to imagine he would have been worse looking at a zone defense for the whole game.
