Do you want Will Campbell at 4 assuming Hunter and Carter are off the board?

It was great to be eighteen in. I went back about ten years ago and it had changed for the worse - corporate globalism is changing the character of cities everywhere. I was in Berlin when the wall was up in the 70s. Talk about living through history.
I have not been to Berlin, it doesn’t have the best reputation here where I live. Where do you live in uk?

Just outside Portsmouth. I’ll be doing the draft graveyard shift too. I’m that much of an obsessive I do all of day three too.

The second night is always a nightmare to stay up, I have already filled up the fridge with energy

Destin Adams is a Colts beat writer, who are his connections in the Patriots building? That said, the Campbell and Walker information is consistent with what others have said the last few weeks. First person I’ve heard reporting about Jeanty being loved by the Pats, but many have speculated in general due to potential BPA status and Vrabel’s history with Henry.

Campbell is LT, whether or not he's a guard or not in the NFL isn't really the issue. He's on the list of top OL with Banks, Simmons, Conerly and Ersery, and maybe further down the list, you've got Grant and Trapilo.
****. If we’re going to draft a short-armed college LT who likely will migrate to guard but only after he fills in at LT in the pros for the Patriots since their current starter is so bad, why not go Wyatt Milum in the second round? Or Donovan Jackson?

The pick is Campbell or Walker no doubt.
I’ll be happy with either, it’s not ideal but we are getting a contributor, I won’t complain.

I lived in Munich for almost 6 months and lived in Solihull, B'Ham, for 3.5 years. Does any of that count?

I love day 3. I've always been more intrigued by late round players than the early round for whatever reason. Also, it's the only day of the draft where I get to go to bed at a reasonable hour, being on this side of the pond. Although I do tend to lie in bed on my phone following the UDFA pick ups for a few hours...

I used to enjoy running the UDFA thread on the main board - that last desperate hope that one of your binkies becomes a Patriot.

I'm kinda on the Greg Bedard program on this. You know he's a high character guy, a leader, and a culture setter. Those things matter, as does playing. If they draft him as a LT and they have to kick him inside and they double dip with an Ersery, Grant or Conerly, and then the line is fixed, I really don't care that they kicked him inside if the line is fixed.

It depends. Kicking him inside is an admission that it’s a wasted pick in most cases. You can find an excellent guard in the 2nd or 3rd round. Are they moving him in training camp? Are they doing it mid season after a rough outing or two ? Or are they doing it next offseason when an opportunity presents itself to get another excellent tackle. If the latter it’s fine, if the former than we blew the pick.

I also would hate the idea of drafting Campbell and also adding a second tackle on day 2 as insurance. You either feel confident he can play the position or you don’t.

I’ve come round to the idea of taking Campbell as the process has gone on but I still have concerns. Plus the arm length will be a conversation forever more. When he gets beat round the corner in OTAS, or training camp, or his first pre season outing. Everyone will constantly be discussing his arm length and whether he needs to go to guard. I’d love my top 5 pick not to have that type of question mark around him.

That's the problem with everyone else, too. I'd love them to be able to trade back and take him or Banks in the top 10 and gain a second round pick, but I just don't see there being a demand for other teams to move up to 4 unless Hunter or Carter are there.

Unless they think a lot more of Caeden Wallace than most of us, I'd be very open to using two of their first four picks on tackles.
