Serious question from a Jets fan:

Why is Mayo still in the game?

We tanked to avoid the unbearable pressure of being undefeated, taking a cue from Tony Dungy.

Anderson just pulled a "Cunningham" :lol2:

Because Belichicks ego is bigger than the ******* hurricane knocking on our door.

It will do a lot for my confidence if the OLine can hold their blocks for a few seconds this drive. I don't care if its against 2nd and 3rd stringers. Just prove to me that you can do it.

"Thus, a "red herring" argument is one which distracts the audience from the issue in question through the introduction of some irrelevancy."

You went to, "Well the Lions should win the SB based on your argument". No one with a gram of intelligence was saying that.

The argument started out with you saying everyone was overreacting for calling for extra OL help. Those watching the game, and that have been taking notice where the team struggles when they lose the last several years, are seeing the same reoccurring problems.

Your Lions statement = red herring

Actually, it wasn't, since my point all along is that there's no strict correlation between preseason and regular season play.

Hence my example of that historically bad Lions team, which is directly relevant to the point I was making. Calling that post a red herring is simply incorrect.

aw, poor Welker.

This thread is almost as bad as a regular season game when we're down by two TDs. The team you see tonight is nothing like you'll see in week 1. This game is all about evaluation.
I know BB is a genius and he is just trying to evaluate certain players tonight from what many here are saying. But this old fashioned ***** kicking will be played out in the media (esp ESPN) as a team with a ton of holes that will have difficulty getting deep into the postseason again....

hoefully welker isn't hurt too bad

I thought Welker looked a little shook up after making that tackle. Not good.

All the talk about Ochocinco, but has anyone seen Deion Branch this preseason

What?

Why?

well, who cares but curious to know if Irene had anything to do with it.

Im drunk and my brother in law is annoying the **** out of me. Im ready to whip his ass if he doesnt stfu.

BTW, anyone else notice that Welker was walking off the field VERY slowly after that tackle?

Yup. Welker is not on the field for the 2nd half.

Shouldn't you be more concerned about why most of your fellow fans are so preoccupied with homosexuality?

Caught Ocho sending a tweet.
