Sure, but most of his poor passes weren't because of his targets. The ball that got picked, for example, should never have been thrown given where the defender was.

You have a point, but the handful of times where Branch and Brady's mind meld make a big play for the Pats, is something that Stallworth will need to show his value exceeds.

I'm not seeing anything special that Stallworth is bringing to the table.

Man, you are a tough audience. Mallet should good movement and poise in the pocket, and nice touch on the short passes. That is definite improvement.

Stallworth doesn't get much separation these days.

Disagree....It's not Stallworth.Mallet overthrew him and Hoyer laid it up too short.You can't underthrow on a go pattern,let the recvr go get it.
Both qb's are staring down their recvrs,imo.

I agree with your take.

Stallworth has supposed to be a deep threat for a decade.. the only thing he has ever been is a drunk driving threat.. Branch disappears but as a 3rd or 4th WR and a 5th or 6th option he is a great option. Lloyd gives us a solid outside threat and we can use the speed of Vereen and maybe Demps in the screen game to give us more big play potential this year.

Early on, almost all of Hoyer's incompletions were drops, I can't say I blame him for how frustrated he looked.

The stats are going to lie about this game, I think Hoyer has outplayed Mallet, Hoyer just hasn't had anything resembling help from his receivers.
