Patriots obviously have been purposefully having Mallet work on his weakness- short to midrange game. His arm strength we all know about, and that was a beauty of a deep strike.

I understand making him work on things, but mixing in the deep pass occasionally would be nice to see.

I'm seeing what I wanted to see Mallett do...he's perceivably calmed down and in the flow of the game...letting it come to him...those first two series looked sorta iffy..but he's running the offense smoothly now...this is good news AFAIC
