I see this a bit differently. It's like a fighter trying to weather a torrid start by another fighter. If you don't get knocked out (which could still happen), things will settle down.

Everything has gone terribly, but we're only down 7-0. We've turned the ball over twice. Brady's off, he's been under pressure. We gave up a big play on the fake punt. But the 49ers have turned the ball over at our 5 yard line, have missed a FG inside of 40 yards, and have failed to convert on 4th and inches.

Keep the game close and Brady will eventually get going. And then hopefully wear them down.

Again, it could be a blowout. But how many times has this team been blown out?
