Is it time to take a medical flyer??

Two guys Mark Herzlich or Greg Romeus.

We all know about Herzlich, Romeus was considered a 1st round pick, he had back problems and tried to play through it, he couldn't and had surgery for a herniated disc, In his first game back he tore his ACL, so really no worries going forward. 6'5" 270, maybe an OLB conversion??

They took Lee Smith, the former closer for the St Louis Cardinals

I hate this pick. What can he do on the football field? How is a cut fastball and slider going to help us????

are you kidding? another te? lol i thought we addressed that last year.

He also long snaps...... Can fill in at FB, probably big enough to be a situational dancing Tackle.

Plus he's a team captain and a character guy (after a silly DUI as a freshmen). Will ultimately take Crumpler's place when he hang's em up. We're likely to have the most talented TE corp in the NFL inside of a year.

This is a solid pick. Beyond blocking, he has limited use, but can catch in a very limited field. Violent and fearless over the middle in short distance.

If he's beaten Cancer, there's no reason not to believe he has the courage and strength to make it as a 7th rounder of UDFA.

Couldn't agree more.

Ummmm, we took a guy with cancer...... I think that counts.....

Solder loves sliders. He eats 100 a day.

Did we swap the 194th pick for the 195th pick with Philly just to keep our yearly draft trade with them alive??...is this true?

No, completely false.

It was 193 for 194.

Lazarius Levingston and Larry Guy at DL. I've lost hope for Romeus.

you dummy...not THAT Lee Smith...this one..the star backer for Leeds rugby squad....:ukflag:

This team was near the bottom on 3rd down defense and so far this draft, 1 defender, someone in the secondary, is chosen. Makes sense to me!

wth does it take them so long to pick??

I want to hear some discussion of this trade.

That was my thought too

What was the problem the year prior to that? How about the year before that? Our Defense hasn't been very good for a few years now. And all we have to hang our hats on for next year is that year 2 jump from Jermaine. Lets say FA started monday. Who on the market would provide significant help? Tamba will never make it to FA. Same with Woodley. No way are we going to spend the money Asamougha will demand after drafting a CB at 33. Kiwanuka was tendered a second round pick. I don't see BB forking up a pick for him. Who is left?

Jason Babin, Charles Johnson, Ray Edwards, to name a few.
