Marcus Cannon is a great pick at this point in the draft. Lombardi said the Bears were ready to pick him at the bottom of the first and Mayock had him with a second round grade. Hopefully the medical issues are cleared for his sake mostly but also for the Pats.

you kidding rite? another T HAHAHAHA

Have you ever been right about anything since you joined this board? He is a Guard, T stands for Tackle.

And that is exactly what we needed. People can ***** and moan all they want but OL was our biggest need going into this draft. And the need for the front seven wasn't even close to the need at OL.

Wish him all the best over the next few months. Sounds like it's a very treatable form of cancer, but it's never easy.

I like the pick :D

Even if he has a red shirt year, could develop into a solid player!

Another low risk, high reward from BB :D

Lombardi just mentioned on NFLN that the Bears had Cannon targeted with their first rounder, prior to his medical scare...

Cannon probably won't be able to play in 2011, but he is projected to be a good player.

I wonder if he's covered for health insurance.

what do you guys mean when you he's not the type of O lineman the pats usually draft?

Just when we were ready to whisk BB off to the gallows, he does something like this. Great value pick.

He is a monster run blocker.

He's also intelligent and versatile, he understands how the line works.

Now grab Romeus at 159, Deunta Williams at 193 and Herzlich at 219 and we get 4 1st round talents that fall due to injury. That would be value.

IDC about the team right now, just get well Cannon , for the future.

WE HAVE HAD A LOt of success in PO with this defense:D

How many turnovers did the offense have against the Ravens in 09? Did the defense throw a pick on the opening drive and drop a TD pass against the Jets last year? Did the defense turn the ball over on Downs in there own end in a botched fake punt?

Good Pick!

Now if we can get either Beal, Cliff Matthews, or Herzlich at 159.

Great pick. As much as we all wanted a pass rusher the age on this team was on offense and the draft was running defense heavy. The patriots went against the grain of this draft and got the best OL instead of the 7th or 8th best DL and added 2 RB's who can contribute this year and 2 starting OL in Solder and Cannon. I'd love to see them take Romeus soon but i'm not betting on it, they will have to find a pass rusher in free agency and Belcihik is apparently happy with his DL as is.

I wanted different players but i think they did a really good job of improving the team this weekend, and once again they are set to do what they want again next year.

Nothing against Mr. Cannon, but...

"Hmm, what would be the most second-guessable pick possible this late? I know, an o-lineman built like O'Callaghan who's about to start cancer treatments! Make it so!"

if u listened 80-90% chance he is cleared in 2 weeks:D

Agree. Won't be surprised if they add another O-Lineman or two before the day is over. Hopefully, they won't get cute and try to sneak one of these late rounders onto the practice squad a la Ted Larsen last year.

we usually favor guards not that big or tall, but quick
