I dont like the Tate pick.Juanquin Iglesias was still there. He looks more like a player.

McKenzie's the guy with the sick Mom, which is why he went to three schools. Shoot, give him some guaranteed money.

OK, that explains that. I didn't know. Thanks for the background on it.

Yeah, it's just info to show the pattern: we're drafting guys with injury issues (Vollmer's back, Tates' knee, McKenzie's leg) in the hopes that they'll be better than their draft slots.

Vollmer's back was 3 years ago. McKenzie's leg was back in 2003. Tate's knee was the only recent injury.

Any chance we can trade those two 7th round picks for another second rounder in 2010? Paging Al Davis!

considering the two picks at 5th and 6th are compensatory i would love the trade for the n.2 at 7th round (n.2 sixth round picks draft 2010 ?)

you dont like anything so far. quit complaining

Vollmer is going to be the RT we always have been missing. He's a technician. Mckenzie is a great value and will be a fan favorite. Tate is a perfect pick. Probably end up on the PUP and IR for this year. Plus the stock piling of picks in the 2nd round from Jax and Tennessee.

they will roll those 7ths into 2010 6's, which will become 2011 5's, ....2014 2's.

3 second rounders next year? Hmmmmm, maybe BB is readying himself to trade all 3 of them to the Panthers for Peppers post draft ............................

I understand that. But major back surgery for a lineman causes him to drop. Take McKenzie's leg and his 3 schools and some other factors and he drops a bit, too. You certainly don't see a lot of teams spending 1st round picks on guys who've had severely broken legs.

yup,great draft IMO

Vollmer started something like 35 straight games after his back surgery. Kicks Kaczur inside when Neal leaves.

"His three schools" had to do with his mom being sick and McKenzie stepping up to show some leadership in his family. Let's definitely penalize him for that!

i agree: it looks we had a great draft and we are very well positioned for 2010 draft too

nice !

Go Pats !

Like him even more....never benefitted from a consistent system and consistent coaching.

Don't jump to conclusions, dude. I'm just pointing out how it affects his draft position. I already pointed out what you just did a page or so ago.

:ugh:

I like the kid.

I really like the McKenzie pick. They list him as an OLB but I think he will play inside with the Patriots. He really went up the draft boards over the past month.

Now we are scheduled for 170, 207, 232, & 234. I think there maybe be a Bear in our future if someone else does not grab him first.

Can Iglesias return kicks at a high level? Come on now. BB knows what he is doing. Tate has a better chance of contributing early on special teams. It's kind of tough to crack a WR lineup with the likes of Moss/Welker/Galloway.
