how are they picking ahead of teams after the first pick?...It's not fantasy football with a snake draft.
I don't want to derail the thread so I'll limit my response to this one post.
What I'm saying is that the advantage is one pick and one pick only. Comparing the teams with the 16th and the 32nd picks the team with the 16th pick gets the advantage of that one first round pick, whatever the value of that pick may be. After that the two teams pick in the following order;
32 - 48 - 64 - 80 - 96 - 112 - 128 - 144 - 160 - 176 - 192 - 208 - 224 and the advantage diminishes with each round. The 32nd pick is better than the 48th and so on until the 32nd team gets the last pick.
It's an advantage for sure. IMHO it just isn't as much as it's made out to be by so many others here.
