Part of the Jets suckage is the over-the-top silliness of the fan base. Their homers are so deluded that one would think psychiatric help is necessary.

With that said, are Pats fans taking pleasure in the Big Blue meltdown going on?
I know its hard to imagine for the Patriot elite but making the playoffs is still an accomplishment, no matter how you make it.
Just ask the other team in NY how hard it is.

Big time. My dad is 66 and a die hard Giants fan (that was the home team back in the 50s). Hes not happy one bit.
Out of respect, I'm keeping my mouth shut though. He didn't say a word after SB42 so I'm going easy on the old man.
I am, but that's because I don't want the Patriots facing the Giants or Saints in the Super Bowl.
I sat through 1-15. I understand full well that making the playoffs is an accomplishment. The Jets still suck and the Jets fan base is still the worst, most deluded, fan base in the NFL.
Yada, yada, yada I know the fan base represents itself poorly so I won't even really address that.
What I don't get is the Giants phobia Pats fans have. If they were playing now I would bet a small fortune on the Pats, no way they lose, the Giants secondary falls apart under pressure. I mean the Packers annihilated them.
If I were you I would want a rematch so they could be embarrassed in front of the world and prove how much a fluke 2007 was.

The fairer comparison is how is Sanchez compared to Henne, Ryan, Freeman, Bradford and Flacco. I would say he is middle of the pack in that group. Would be nice to see him elevate his game again come playoff time.
Hes been great this year but this is also a guy with a long college resume who was able to sit and learn behind one of the greats for 3 years. Not to mention the extra full season of starting experience working with Belichick. The fact its even a comparison is a compliment to Sanchez.

“To get back to who our defense is, we need to practice,” he said. “We’re going to go back to individual drills, fundamental drills, and really hone that, which is kind of unusual at this time of year. We really have to, because that’s how we’re going to get better. There’s no magic call.”
Ryan said he has noticed fundamentals slipping, and cited quarterback Mark Sanchez’s recent strong play after working on his technique as an example of the effect going back to the basics can have.
He noted defenders putting their hands on receivers, playing the proper leverage and getting off blocks when defending the run as examples of techniques that have slipped. The results turned up in several ways Sunday: the Jets yielded five pass plays of more than 20 yards, couldn’t get consistent pressure on Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and allowed 113 yards on 19 carries to Matt Forte, the first 100-yard rusher they have allowed this season.
Communication woes, an issue all season, showed up in a big way when the Jets only had 10 players on the field for Devin Hester’s 25-yard touchdown catch — one of three Bears touchdowns in 7:14 in the third quarter.
Sanchez is easily the second-worst QB on that list. When the best that you can say for a top-5 pick is that he's better than a second rounder who's a disappointment in his own right, it's probably time to admit that he isn't what you thought he was. Sanchez just isn't that good, and probably never will be.
Sanchez has improved a lot this season, which is more indicative of how bad his rookie year was, but still they are playoff bound again. If there is nothing else at least he has been a winner so far in his short career.
A funny stat I just saw. Jets fans love to trash the Pats' defense, but guess what? The Pats have given up 0.6 points per game more than the Jets with only one game to go. The Jets are giving up 19.8 PPG and the Pats are giving up 20.4 PPG. The strength of the Jets is their defense and the defense is the biggest weakness of the Patriots. No wonder why the Pats are Super Bowl favorites and the Jets are likely one and done.
He's been carried by an elite defense, just like Flacco. If the pressure was on them to carry a team alone, it'd be a disaster. Thats why I like Matt Ryan better than both of them.
When he was drafted that team was nothing. Flacco is decent at best. Sanchez is half of Flacco to me, honestly.
