The Jets suck (merged)

We will see the jets again.I just have that feeling.

Boy, I hope so. Rather see them than anyone else in the playoffs for the AFC side.

Cassel is a better QB than Sanchez. 'nuff said.

I wouldn't count out the Jets at all. Remember, they did go from the wild card to the AFC title game last year!
They were a better team last year.

coaching had not yet gone to Rex's head yet either.

But they had the blueprint ... they said so in hard knocks.

It's not even close...

I'm sure some NYJ yahoo will ask, "How many playoff wins does Matt Cassel have?"

They were a better team last year.

And the Patriots were a worse tem. They had no heart and were soft. They grew out of that the second half of this year. Most teams have rebuilding year or years. The Patriots had a rebuilding quater.

What is your point?

Yep Jets suck no away to circumnavigate that logic

Hes been great this year but this is also a guy with a long college resume who was able to sit and learn behind one of the greats for 3 years. Not to mention the extra full season of starting experience working with Belichick. The fact its even a comparison is a compliment to Sanchez.

The fairer comparison is how is Sanchez compared to Henne, Ryan, Freeman, Bradford and Flacco. I would say he is middle of the pack in that group. Would be nice to see him elevate his game again come playoff time.

You must be kidding.

First, Cassel didn't start a game for about 7 years, and he's been light years better than Sanchez in 2 of his 3 seasons as a starter. Even last year, with all the problems in K.C., Cassel was better than Sanchez. Second, Ryan, Freeman, Bradford and Flacco are all much better QBs than Sanchez. Henne sucks, but he was a second round pick while the others you mentioned are all first rounders.

Sanchez is a lousy quarterback. The sooner you accept that and start hoping for improvement to mediocre/average, the better for you.

Patsfans.com should turn this thread into a book and sell it to raise money. lol. It could be a saga...like Star Wars.

Cassel barely played at USC. I think in 4 years he played a quarter.

who was able to sit and learn behind one of the greats for 3 years.

Irrelevant. Rohan Davey played behind Brady for 3 years and he still stunk.

Not to mention the extra full season of starting experience working with Belichick.

Thats huge, but I cite Davey as an example of not having the capability of being a good NFL QB.

The fact its even a comparison is a compliment to Sanchez.

I'm not making the comparison. I'm dismissing it before it is a comparison.

The fairer comparison is how is Sanchez compared to Henne, Ryan, Freeman, Bradford and Flacco. I would say he is middle of the pack in that group.

Before the start of the season, I am on record as saying that a 3k yard, 20 TD 12-14 INT season is what Sanchez would produce so I am accurate in that regard. With that said, he has improved. However, with the exception of Henne, at this point Sanchez is not better than any of the QBs you mention.

Would be nice to see him elevate his game again come playoff time.

Sanchez did have a good playoff run no question. They protected him and didn't ask him to do too much. All in all, I think Sanchez is an adequate QB. Not great. Not terrible.

Remember, when Cassell started his first game for the Pats in Week 2 of 2008 (where, ironically, he beat a Jets team led by some ol' hillbilly who had started like 300 billion games in a row), it was his first start since high school.

Let's get back to the theme of this thread: The Jets Suck. Why? Because they back into the playoffs and then Rex Ryan turns a loser press conference into a giggle fest about being back in the playoffs. Puh-lease!

I thought they did that stuff because they suck, not the other way around.

Part of the Jets suckage is the over-the-top silliness of the fan base. Their homers are so deluded that one would think psychiatric help is necessary.
