Heh, if the Pats beat the Jets, most Pats fans will probably have a congratulatory beer, eat some dinner, go to bed, and get a good night's sleep so they can get up and work the next day. If the Jets beat the Pats, the Jets fans will be partying in Manhattan like it's New Years? Which fans really view the other team as the king?

I've challenged you on more than one occasion to refute evidence I've offered about the Green Beans organization sucking mightily, yet you've only responded with (typical) trash talk, insults, etc., etc.

Remember, you say "congratulate." You are expected to be civil regardless of outcome. Perhaps you can even talk football for a change?

Apparently you slept through the Mangenius years. When the rivalry dating back to Tuna's days that had fizzled under Noodle and Herm and in the wake of 3 rings got some actual life breathed back into it (as hype driven as that turned out to be). You also confuse annoyance or amusement with fear. (While what you likely smell is flatulance emanating from your HC's butthole...or piehole which are in fact increasingly interchangeable).

Nobody talks about the Bills except when they beat the JETS. It's because they have become thoroughly irrelevant in Ralph's dotage.

As for where you may be on the 19th... Nikolai nailed it. You clowns will be either celebrating another hollow September Superbowl victory and crowing each others asses, or blanketing the NY airwaves with calls for Woody to can Tubby and find you a real franchise QB. One of the reasons nothing ever changes in JET fan land is because nothing ever changes with the JETS... Every season for the last 41 starts out with pipedreams and false bravado that culminates in broken hearts and scathing recriminations...

This board has NOTHING over JetsInsider when it relates to division rival envy. Earlier this year it wasn't unusual to have at least half of the top 10 threads talking about the Pats. Even in Jets related threads you had numbskulls like SG3 and Ray Ray turn every thread nto a Pats hate-fest.

When it's every day when the press is covering something about the Jets, usually something new that the blubbermouth has spewed, you are going to see people talk about it. Afterall, it's entertainment and everyone likes a clown.

Not sure what he said that was so wrong here. You do need to be able to command that kind of respect, and if he can, good for him. We'll see how long that lasts, though, if he keeps throwing more than an INT per game, and they keep him throwing <20 times per game because they don't trust him to make his reads. Confidence is only as good as the results that follow. Otherwise, you end up with Kerry Rhodes. But that said, Sanchez said exactly what he had to say. I'm not sure that he can back it up, but doesn't change the fact that it was the right thing to say.

As far as smelling fear, I dunno about that. We've always treated the preseason as our time to laugh at the Jets for their self-important, preseason-SB nonsense. It was this way last year (Sanchise! Rex Ryan, Bart Scott!), and the year before that (Brett Favre! Kris Jenkins!), and the year before that (dominant young talent! Kerry Rhodes will own u!) and the year before that (we got Mangenius!)... etc. etc. It's always been like this, because the Jets make themselves incredibly easy targets: you set yourselves up and knock yourselves down, and we get a front row seat to the whole thing. It's funny because it ends the same way every year but you guys keep getting suckered into it. I used to just hold you guys in complete contempt, until circumstances forced me to root for the Jets in week 17 of 2008. Being a Jets fan, even for a day, while Favre took a dump on a the field like that... it actually made me feel some pity for you guys.

Maybe this year will be different, but I doubt it. I'm no more or less afraid than I was in 2003-2009.

So far the Jets are talking a great game (again). You are the best team on paper, because you say so. 9-7 and the best team in NFL history.

You want to know what fear of a team is? When guys like you go to another team's board and talk about how great you are, desperately hoping that you can convince yourself. If you were secure in your faith in your team, you wouldn't be here. You'd be at JI with Jets fans laughing at the Pats. They have faith in the Jets. You are afraid of the Pats.

Keep talking. Maybe in time you will come to believe in your team and not be here. Or maybe when your team doesn't something significant you won't feel the need to convinvce us of the Jest's greatness.

Hoist a couple of February Lombardi's and come back. We'll say Congrats. Keep hoisting those off-season trophies and telling us what you will-do-no-really-this-year-for-sure-we-really-really-really-mean-it-this-year and all you get is a laugh.

Though very similar, don't confuse that with the real thing wafting in from the New York/New Jersey area. Depending on what Jabba Wrecks has for lunch and prevailing winds, smog alerts have been issued for southern New England.
