The above appears to infer use of "bolden" as referencing various aspects of being bold or emboldened not commonly associated with heavier printed type face, for which "bolded" applies quite accurately.

Yeah, people are emboldened to do things; type face is bolded (or italicized, etc), but he's a Jest fan - he has no way of understanding. Next he will tell us the Jets bold over the Pats in Game 2 last year.

Agreed. I think the Jets are a good team but the trouble they appear to be running into is buying into their own hype. If they don't live up to it, it's going to be a very rough ride.
