I hope we hear Brown, Winfield, David were able to practice today. are the bucs practicing today?

I saw another Tweet that Whitehead is expected to be a gametime decision, per BA last week.

David injured his hamstring in the third quarter of the Packers game but stayed in; optimistic that it's of the mild variety.

I wonder if Winfield has a high ankle sprain (probably.) But there are different grades to those too...and guys often play through them despite that they suck and limit speed/mobility. Either way, it would be really surprising if he doesn't play with any type of ankle sprain.

No idea on Brown's injury...wondering if it's a meniscus issue?

Godwin needs to bring his soft hands to this game.

Overall I think this makes Antonio Brown's health even more important. People have brought up that Scotty Miller and Tyler Johnson bring depth, but it's very different. Miller is only good, at this point in his career, on speedy sideline routes, and Johnson is a traditional outside receiver. Brown really changes the offense's ability to attack the middle of the field.

Two trends that concern me: Brady to Gronkowski has been ridiculously inefficient for a long time (missed timing on any route that isn't a dumpoff) and ************ I hope they don't throw to Fournette/Jones more than a few times. They should just spend the entire practice with Brady throwing passes to those two RBs while fitting them for new gloves or somethng.

Brate has been the better receiving tight end since mid-season, and I think using Gronk as an extra blocker and running Brate out there has been a huge difference maker. Man, OJ Howard would be nice to have right now.

But overall with Godwin, (hopefully) Brown, Brate, and Gronkowski, that's a damn good personnel grouping to attack the Chiefs weakness. If they want to cheat down with their safeties, Evans will make them pay.

It will be very difficult to keep the Chiefs' offense down. So Tampa is going to need to score points, and a lot of them. But man, they absolutely have the horses to do that. Assuming they're all active, the skill position group of Evans, Brown, Godwin, Miller, Johnson, Gronk, Brate, Fournette, and Jones is absolutely one of the best and deepest in the league. I don't think KC has the ability to cover everyone that Tampa can throw out there on any given play.

Even Fournette has been good these playoffs:
Fournette: 48 rushes, 211 yds, 4.4 avg, 14 rec, 102 yds, 7.3 avg, 5 total touchdowns

Tampa, with all pistons firing, is an absolute load to deal with. Let's not forget that they were the #3 scoring offense (#7 yards) in the NFL. KC was "just" ranked 6th in scoring (though 1st in yards). So Tampa can, if they're on their game, absolutely keep up with KC.

what people in the tampa thread here have been saying ALL DAMN SEASON. USE IT MORE

I have no idea why they don't split Brate out wide on those first down runs. Take a linebacker out of the middle if you're going to run it anyway. Brate isn't even a good blocker. Same idea with Gronk...he's a good blocker, but I rarely see RBs running behind him anyway. They usually run between G and C or G and T.

kind of scary how people in that thread have been calling for them to use motion a lot all season, and 2 coaches who get paid loads of money don’t see it lol. hopefully they’re drawing up some plays to let Godwin and Brown do work in the slot. and Gronk, Brate to attack their weak linebackers

If I'm TB my most used play on offense will look something like this. Miller and Evans running 2 verticals down the field to make the defense play back. Then I have some mix Brown/Godwin/Gronk/Brate run short flat crossers or a quick out to the sideline that they turn up after the catch. Maybe even a few dump offs to Jones and Fournette.

Clearly this is the best way to attack KC. They really don't want to leave either the Speedy Miller or Evans 1v1. If they do to either you can and should take that shot. So that forces 4 of them to cover 2 of yours. And it's the way the way to play anyway, so it isn't like your tricking them into doing it. After that (assuming they rush 4). You can carve up the underneath which leaves their LBs and CBs in space vs very good options. If you go 5 wide with Brown/Godwin/Brate you force to them cover each 1v1 in space. Someone will come open quickly. Unless they cheat a defender or two up. Then of course you go deep to Evans or Miller every time.

On defense the ideal play is rush 4, safety help over Hill at all times, with your safety cheating towards Hill. Go light and let them try to run on your 6 man box. Any time they run is a net positive for your D anyway IMO. Have help shadow Kelce, but not a true double team like on Hill. The Key for Kelce is to always always always treat him like a WR no matter if he looks like he's staying in to block or not. If he stays into block then push him back and stay in front of him. Every block for Kelce is either a fake or a temporary block until he turns into a true WR. Get physical with him and see how the refs call it, and double him on 3rd with someone cheating the underneath. Watkins is a guy you live going 1v1 on cause you have to. Hardman is just so dangerous, but he isn't on the field all that much. When he is on the field I think he's honestly a higher priority than Kelce. Cause whose more likely to make a 50 yard play, Hardman or Kelce? Of course on 3rd down that rule changes and Kelce is always the #2 guy.

They have so much versatility and depth to make it work.

what better game to finally use it? we can only hope lol

It took them like 8 games to get Brady out of that pistol shotgun stance where it looked like he was about to take a dump before the snap.

I was shaking my head every time I saw that. i’m hoping Brady is in their ear explaining this stuff to them to use for the game. he’s got the house to himself so you know he’s probably putting like 12 hours of film a day in
