Would you be in favor of adding Tebow to the Pats

Tim Tebow is the one QB who made the Patriots Defense look competent this year - - - twice.

Well, actually, in the first quarter of the first game, the Pats' D looked anything but.

But you're correct. Especially in the playoff game.

Denver is simply not at New England's level, in any area of the game.

The real miracle is, that did not happen 16 times last season to the Broncos.

Even with Tebow in there, and assuming he "progresses" to the satisfaction of the numerous purists here and elsewhere around the country, that team is still a few years away, to put it mildly.

No. 2011 marked a paridigm shift for Denver's fortunes, and that shift can be laid directly at Tim Tebow's feet. For better or worse, he is their future, and they must develop around him.

If they do not, and seek answers elsewhere in the personna of another QB, they will seriously regress, and find themselves squarely back at square one, and whatever rebuilding ideas they have will consequently suffer as well.

(And what, you say, about signing Peyton Manning? Oh, good! He will lead them to 12 wins next year, maybe a playoff win. Assuming he survives the season. That Denver O-line is not the Indy Colts by any stretch of the imagination. Signing Manning is a double-edged sword, with promise offset by danger. At least, that's my view.)

The team has made the choice. Now they must learn to live with it.

Aside from those minor details like what we'd have to give up in trade and how much he'd cost in terms of salary ....

I'm probably among the minority that would really like to see him on the field for the Patriots.

It was tough enough for defenses to adapt to this guy at QB, even knowing that he was going to run the ball half the time... You'd drive defensive coordinators crazy worried about the permutations of different plays... Will Brady pass? Handoff to Tebow? Run a reverse? Run a flea flicker?

Having defenses try to prepare for Tebow AND Brady on the field at the same time could prompt an entirely new chapter in offensive and defensive strategy.

I'm really not sure what that type of an experiment would be worth... Perhaps a third rounder?

Ultimately though I can't imagine Tebow wont try to force his way to a team where he could start.

The only people I want around Tom Brady, you know probably the greatest Quarterback outside of Joe Montana are skill positional people who catch balls he is passing to them or those who he hands the ball off too.

No gimmick wrinkles thanks. Let them do what they do.

I donno... I think Belichick and McDaniels would take a lot of pride in dominating the game and writing some football history.

We've seen what Tebow can do. I don't want him as my QB but even when teams know he's going to run they just can't stop him. Imagine how ineffective defenses would be if they didn't know whether Brady were going to throw or lateral?

other then Denver haveing to most money to spend on Manning i realy dont think he wants to play there i think it will be the 49ers because they have the best team or the titans so he can beat the colts and Luck twice a year

I have seen what Tebow can do, that's why I want not part of him. Develop Hoyer and Mallett behind Brady. That's enough for me.

this is the dumbest thing I cant even understand it:bricks:

This move would make absolutely no sense for either team. Getting Manning would actually make it more likely Tebow would stay in Denver. The last thing Elway wants is a QB controversy involving Tebow this year.

As for the Pats, I don't even know where to begin. Bringing in Favre as a backup QB would make more sense than that. :stars2:

The Jacksonville Jaguars need to fill seats.

This.......IF Manning signs with Denver....or Not....this makes the most sense. Elway and Fox do not want Tebow under center this upcoming season. Trade him to Jax where he is IDOLIZED by the neighboring city of Gainesville...Heck, people will drive from all over the state of FL to come see him. Jax needs something to get people back into the team there. Hard for us pats fans to understand as Gillette could use MORE SEATS for all the fans that want to get in. I think Tebow to Jax is a great move for the NFL

No.

The Jaguars to LA is a great move for the NFL.

Can someone please kill this thread.....we do not want Tebow...he is staying at Denver. I see Manning going to SF or the Titans. Tebow is not worth our time...as Tebow mania....is on its downside....

Why would Tebow restructure his contract to facilitate a trade to a team that obviously wouldn't be planning to use him as a QB?

If he can't make it as a starter, and is drummed out of Denver -- but why would he be? -- he should try to latch on as a backup with some team whose starter is a superb athlete with questionable accuracy.

Please, Please, make this stop!!! Tebow is only worht something to jacksonville. There he can sell jerseies and tickets, other than that, he is a back-up QB that you make the other team game plan for.

Actually you continually take away credit from Tebow. Because of him, Denver became the 1st running offense in the NFL. That running offense took a lot of time of the clock, and helped his defense stay fresh throughout the game. But since you are a blind hater, all you want to is to discredit Tebow, and you continue to expose yourself.
Took time off the clock?
Why is having an opinion hating? I have no problem with Tebow.

No, it wasnt only the defence that limited the opponents to small number of points, it was also the offense led by Tebow who limited the oppponents TOP. That is why the defense improved so much under Tebow, when before they were among the worst in the NFL.
The Broncos were 23rd in TOP. There are 32 teams. That means they were bad at TOP. Next argument?

But hey, keep repeating the completion %.
Do you thnk it is not important for a QB to complete passes?

Tebow sucks sucks SUCKS.
Why so angry?

Doesnt matter that he has the highest passing rating in college history,
I'll take your word for the stat, even though your others don't check out, because it is irrelevant. What he did in college has nothing to do with whether he is a good NFL Qb.

achieved in a very good conference no less, so he is a very good passer.
Even his own coaches don't think that.

Doesnt matter that all his WRs are very young, and are still learning the trade, and are still learning how to create separation. Doesnt matter that he has average at best TEs.

Sure but you are exaggerating both the quality of the receivers and the impact of the excuse.

I don't understand the problem here. The assumption should be that Tebow is being considered because he will not be playing QB if he comes here. As a non-QB, i'd take him in a heartbeat. Too big to tackle, too fast to cover and great locker room influence. Game over!

I am not willing to give up a roster spot to Tim Tebow. Period.

2 weeks before his death, Tom Brady's mentor Tom Martinez said to the media that if he took Tebow under his wing that by the end of 1 month he would have made Tebow a complete Quarterback with all the intangibles it takes to be one.

I really believe he could have and probably might have gone to help Tim had he not had left us so early.

Ah, the Quarterback Whisperer is sorely missed.
