Super Bowl LI .. PREGAME thread

Average QBs like Hoyer or Fitzpatrick were able to make it work with him. Who knows what happens this offseason and their TC with Savage/Osweiler.

It's better to have some option on offense than none and put all your eggs into the D basket.
I was being facetious, Luuked. Keeping Watkins was obviously the right play for them. Lol

Sorry then
No worries, buddy. I've never felt this relaxed on SB day in any of the previous seven (includes '96). I thought I'd be bouncing off walls by now, but not so much. Not that I'm disrespecting ATL, just that I feel our boys are ready and dialed in.

Marshall Faulk was commenting on his SB memories along with Irvin Warner etc.
his comments were that after playing on crappy teams there was no way he was going to let he team not win that game. Sounded as if he carried them in his back
He had 10 rushes for 17 yards. Lol

Its a combination of being confident and also facing a completely nonobjectionable opponent and fanbase. Much easier to deal with the prospect of defeat to someone that you generally like. Losing to Peyton or Sherman, Eli, the Jets or the Ravens was just as painful to see them win as it was to lose.

I feel exactly the same. I thought I was going to have to have a bottle of Pepto next to me to fix my stomach. I haven't even started shaking And it's almost 1 pm EST. From everything I've read the last few days, from the fans down there to guys being ready, it makes me feel OK. Still a lot of time left though.

now in few minutes a shower...then dinner...spaghetti con le vongole with good white wine...from h 23,30 italian time approx there will be the pre-game start and then a long night hoping for the best...

GO PATS !

Contain ATL's O, BALLGAME!

When it's a bone, it becomes a matter of pain, not so much what the player can do athletically. They'll shoot him up, so he'll have no problems in the first half, however late in the game he'll likely be in some pain.

Believe me, if this was REALLY a problem for Mack, then all these leaks about the injury wouldn't be happening. Maybe they are hoping to get the Pats to change their game plan.

While it might be nice for some fans to think this will be a problem for Atlanta, it is likely it will be as much a factor in the game as Alan Branch's toe and Hightower's shoulder.

I'm making a risotto, but my style, nothing like an Italian one! (Brown rice, clams, mussels, shrimp, leeks -- and cheese. )

My daughter is coming over and bringing her roommate (who is a big Pats fan) and her boyfriend (who is a Packers fan). Is it going to be OK, I asked her? Don't worry, Dad, she said -- Jess keeps him under control.

So adding some fruit salad and appetizers (cream cheese, smoked salmon).

And I can offer Jack's Abby Lager and Stout. With a bottle of champagne chilled just in case the game goes the way we hope.

Have fun, everybody. See you next season!

Its the Bengals with considerably better coaching/playcalling though. Not playing old Marv here..

Old Marv typically fields effective defenses especially compared to Atlanta... and the "better coached" Falcons have serious issues on defense that have been covered up /glossed over by their pinball offense. Offensively lopsided teams don't win SBs...and the storyline after this game will be all about Atlanta's need to upgrade that side of the ball...in terms of players and coaching. Refer to the Steelers commentary after the AFC championship game.

I disagree because a broken bone comes with swelling and with mobility issues.
I broke a bone in my hand in high school and we stayed the freeze stuff on it and I didn't miss a snap. But it swelled so much later that it limited my use of the hand and I couldn't even close a fist. (It was a 1/2 piece of knuckle in the thumb)
That to a leg affects everything you do.
