PWP, Its working - there is no other reason why Ch 4 removed him from all sports programming. THe Fred & Steve fat windbag era in local sports is coming to an end.

Let this be a lesson to arrogant ex-jocks who rain on the parade of local fan support that made them semi-celebrities.

Look for Steve D under the All Pro tent cooking hot dogs - that will be his only gig after Comcast dumps his fat arse....

It was always really odd that these guys got as far as they did. They were past their prime Patriots players at best. They made the best of the opportunities they had post football but were not smart enough to realize how good they had it. They believed their own press and had the WEEI arrogance from being the only sports station in town for years. Steve did smack the fans who are the audience of the shows he was on. This is never a good move.

I took a video of the Pink Pachyderm as he made crude remarks about Krafty's new squeeze on my I-Phone...yeah, Pinky was shooting off his yap, as usual, at the bar in Fred and Steve's and just let his mouth get the best of him..so, I e-mailed a downloaded vid to the Pats from my cousin's terminal in CT. and then deleted the vid from my phone...so if you're reading this, Steve, you're too late.... forget any pi$$y little tantrum of a lawsuit, pack up all your crap and move the whole garbage dump back to NY where you and it belong.

What did you find in the trash cans outs side of his house and what color was his carpet when you peeked into his bedroom? I don’t like what he did and can use my power as a consumer to let the stations and advertisers know this but I can’t imagine going to his business to wait for him to slip up and possibly break federal wiretap laws for the sake of a grudge I have with a man I don’t know in support of a team I have no financial stake in. I find this totally creepy.

yeah...uh..pretty broad brush you're painting me with...I was at Lincoln with a bunch of friends, we went to Fred and Steve's to eat and there he was..I don't know where you get off calling me a stalker, that's the last thing someone would call me in real life...he was having a great time shooting off his mouth and crapping on Pats fans...if he doesn't like the results of running HIS big mouth, that's on him...anything you want to create to stab ME in the back on this board to fit whatever idiotic agenda you have in your mind is not of interest to me.

I don't even live in the New England area (not even close, actually) but if people want to vent about some dbag in the media that trashed them, then let them. How is it being 'protective dogs' when this DeOssie idiot pisses on the very team/fanbase that is the reason he makes a living?

It's been said numerous times already, but if the thread doesn't interest you, don't open it. Not a hard concept to grasp.

A few things.

With the treatment NFL players receive and the doors that get opened for them, during and after their careers, they'd have to be totally clueless to have no career of any kind after they retired.

I'll be very interested to see if DeAsso is actually at the All Pro tailgate party, even if it's just to grill the hot dogs. I checked out their website and there's no mention of him or pics of him at all. When I hear from them the first question I'll ask is if he'll be there or associated with it in any way. If they say yes then I will say no and tell them why.

However, I will not let his association with Smerlas' charity event interfere with my participation. They shouldn't suffer because DeAsso's a dope.

What Joker did was:

A. In no way a violation of any federal wiretapping laws. Don't be a dope.
B. Totally awesome. :rocker: The only problem I have is that the his meal/drinks tab put money in DeOssie's pocket.

Even before I saw the tape at the Giants' pep rally, I have always disliked DeOssie. He is an arrogant douche who brings nothing to the table in terms of analysis that your average ex-player wouldn't but always craps on callers who don't agree with him. I would much rather listen to an knowledgeable but likable guy such as Mike Flynn (I would love it if he replaced that moron Gresh on 98.5 weekday and pregame). While I certainly do not wish DeOssie any physical harm, I have no problem enjoying the thought of him struggling a bit to make his numerous alimony payments.
