well, I only really got into twitter a couple months ago, and she was probably the first I noticed outside new england to speak out for what's right -- although, maybe I got clued in from somebody linking from here.

anyway, I've tweeted her a few times and if there's one thing I'm pretty sure of it's that she gives a damn, although I can't say if she's able to respond to every comment.

lol and I don't know her, personally, but I kind of doubt she actually has a staff.
maybe a couple kids who can google as well as volin, I suppose.

edit: she's actually been on this league/goodell thing way back during the other gates when most of us were napping.

I agree 100% she has been after Goodell for years exposing his hypocrisy. She is great and gets right back to you as well. My guess is she will be interested.

I just sent her a response on her official page....maybe she won't even give a damn like every other attorney/media source I've reached out to over the years. Then again, maybe she will.

I see you've become involved in this Goodelgaroo atrocity called
Deflategate. I am one of the documented biggest anti-Goodell NFL fans in
this country. Have been since he sleazed his way in as commissioner
over a far more qualified individual WITH a real law degree. I have
documented proof that this man has been LYING since he was first hired
as a Jet intern and in fact, well before. Do me one small favor...read
his NFL official bio, then read his Williams and Jefferson "Noted
Alumni" bio. I can SHOW you P-R-O-O-F that he IS and has been
obfuscating the truth since he was elected commissioner.

I will not go further right now than to say this...YOU can do a cursory
search, or your staff can , and find this information on the Net.

Roger Goodell CLAIMS he was raised in western NY and was a Redskin fan
his whole life because his Dad was a US senator. Roger Goodell went to
Bronxville High School in EASTERN NY , right near the Conn. border, was a
three sport star and a RABID NY JET FAN. I sent inquiries out to his
graduated classmates at Bronxville and out of 60 + inquiries received 16
back, every single one of them confirming him,Roger Goodell, as a well
known Jet fan who took other members of the football team at Bronxville
High to a box his father procured for him in the Meadowlands as a
teenager . You can easily get the list of seniors in his class like I
did.

Roger Goodell claims in his bio that he was a Magna Cum Laude graduate
of Washington and Jefferson College. I called the college and spoke to
the Dean of Academic Affairs. No record of this Magna Cum Laude given to
a R. Stokoe Goodell. Perhaps YOU can ask them in a capacity as an
attorney. In his bio Roger Goodlell claims THIS...

"He wanted to work for the NFL after college, and so he wrote letters to
the central office and to each of the 28 teams in hopes of getting an
internship. Although many people told him that all his letters would be
ignored and he received many rejections, his persistence paid off. He
landed a three-month internship in Commissioner Pete Rozelle’s office
just a year out of college. And, except for a one-year internship with
the New York Jets in 1983, Goodell has been at the league office ever
since."

Pretty nice story...if it was written by Hans Christian Anderson. Once
again he is obfuscating ESTABLISHED fact. In 2006 his resume read "first
job-intern New York Jets". In this edited W+J bio , he claims he worked
for the league FIRST as an intern BEFORE The Jets...you see it? He
landed a three month internship a YEAR OUT OF college. BUT...here's the
official NFL hiring policy from THEIR official NFL site...now remember
HIS words he's stating as FACT..he got a three month summer intern slot a
YEAR out of college.

"SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

NFL Summer Internship Program participants have the opportunity to
contribute to the organization's success while receiving an unmatched,
behind-the-scenes learning experience. Though interns work within
specific departments, they are able to explore all aspects of the
business of professional football through speaker presentations,
mentoring relationships and networking opportunities.

Selected applicants are placed within the NFL based on interest,
experience, academic coursework, and the NFL's business needs. Past
assignments at the League Office have included the following
departments: Communications & Public Affairs, Community Affairs,
Consumer Products, Events, Finance & Accounting, Football
Operations, Human Resources, Information Technology, Internal Audit,
International, Labor & Legal, Marketing & Sales, and Media. The
program starts in early June and lasts approximately 8-9 weeks.

Eligibility:
Please note that is program is only open to undergraduate juniors
students with an overall GPA of at least 3.0 and law students (for the
Legal Internships) in the top half of their class.

Applications:

Perhaps YOU can figure out how R. Stokoe Goodell got an internship a
YEAR OUT OF COLLEGE that, by the NFL's own policy, is only available to
undergraduates.

This is only the tip of the black iceberg that is Roger Goodell's tenure
as commissioner of the NFL. I sincerely hope you take a cursory look at
not only THIS information, but ALL the relevant information as it
pertains to the forthrightness, or lack thereof, of Roger Goodell. Thank
you for your time.

R.I. State Trooper Robert Kerr and brother of former IRS investigator

Hey, I look at it this way..nothing ventured, nothing gained. If there is even a scintilla of momentum gained by this contact in the investigation of Goodell's history of lies and obfuscations, it was worth the shot, right?

where did you post that btw?

I sent her a response on her page...not sure she'll even get it. I filled it out, clicked the send link and the next page said "
Contact Steph Stradley

If you have a tip or need to contact me about a non-spammy, cool thing, please fill out this form:

Thanks for contacting me! I will get in touch with you shortly."

BTW, axe murderish??? Really? If YOUR kid came home with his face smashed in ,missing teeth and in such fear he doesn't want to go back to school because Roger Goodell has blitzkrieged the United States with his propaganda about the NEP, it's QB, it's head coach and by association ALL THE FANS of NE everywhere, you'd just take him for a tra la la skipping stroll down Sunnybrook Lane?

Right. I'M the "axe murderer"....good one. So who are you, Nutless Norman From Nutley New Jersey...pffft.

edit: I. M. Moron...got any painkillers , Dr. ?

As for Twitter -- people are accessible there. I've argued with Glenn Greenwald, corrected Mike Reiss' writing, exchanged jokes with Keith Olbermann, and a lot more.

I was exchanging tweets and direct messages with Levar Burton once when my house caught on fire. Some funny blog posts resulted from that coincidence.

One of the best, easiest to understand articles yet. Great writing Steph! A few things stood out:

Given the language in the Tom Brady final ruling, it looks like the NFL will be arguing that this is a mostly unique situation that they are entitled to judge uniquely. That courts are supposed to give final arbitration decisions great deference and should not overrule them. (I was actually thinking something similar last night. For every punishment, there was always someone that was the first to receive it)

Despite all the blahblablee words in the Wells Report (A lawyer actually made me laugh. Great word to describe the Wells Report)

I think the NFLPA filing is very good, and it is a vintage Jeffrey Kessler filing. (
Loved how Kessler manipulated Goodell to say things that could be used against him in the court case. )

Kessler liked that quote from Goodell enough he gave it an “emphasis added” bold and italics. In this context, this is the lawyerly way of saying, “boom roasted.”

how can Goodell assert this is a "unique" situation when HE asserted himself that it was decided using the steroid category of NFL violations? That is something...unique? uh...WUT?????????????

have you ever heard of them cooking up some asinine ball deflation nonsense to frame a player before?

no..BUT..Goodell has stated for the record he made this decision based on steroid penalties. How is that NOT tied to previous cases???????????????????

from Rolling Stone.....

Worse, the Wells Report which, astoundingly, was three times longer than the report on Ray Rice knocking his fiancée out – then concluded that there was no direct evidence of Brady's cheating, after Ted Wells stated that Brady answered every question put to him and provided "substantial cooperation." Attorney, sometime-sportswriter and avowed Houston Texans fan Steph Stradley has devoted months to aggregating all the ways in which the prosecutorial presentation of the "independent" report and Goodell's judgments and assertions based on it can be torn into tissue paper.

Damn, Kerr, that was awesome!

Some selected pieces from it:

The Patriots and Brady DID A METRIC BLEEPTON of cooperation, in comparison to most litigation. The only things they didn't cooperate on wouldn't have been a big deal, IF THE WELLS REPORT PEOPLE hadn't bleeped up the interview process, which looks like is what happened from public reports

I give no fs about the McNally texts. He denied he did any thing on everything. So what, if Wells talks to McNally again during the investigation. No matter what McNally says, Wells is going to claim he is a liar.

NFL says the equipment guys are lying because of inferences Wells' makes out of text messages. NFL says that Brady is a liar, even though he was under oath at his arbitration.

(Technically, the Wells Report did not call these people liars. Because that is not polite. Those are rightfully fighting words. And if you don't know that lying happened for sure, you shouldn't say that in those words. Defamation and whatnot. And they don't know they lied for certain. But that is what they mean, or at least they mean it enough to damage people's reputations and take their money)

Even the US Government wouldn't spend this much money investigating something this inconsequential. I find it repulsive as a human being, and vulgar and inartful as a lawyer. You can have all sorts of strict policies and still have better, fairer processes to deal with player and team punishment.
