First of all, Norfolk Christian Academy is the high school alma mater of TCU's LaMareon James.
Secondly, the City is pronounced different ways depending on how local one is... if you're a real old-timer in Norfolk, or your whole family is from there, you're likely to pronounce the city "NawF'k." (That appears to be the case for James, but I don't know how he says it.) If you are a bit more proper, or less dug into the culture, you might say "NorF'k." If you are from out of town, you might say "Nor Foke."
Okay so, growing up in Virginia, there was an apocryphal story that the Norfolk Christian cheerleaders had this cheer,
"We don't smoke, we don't drink, Norfolk Norfolk Norfolk!"
I wanted very much to post this one line in the thread on the deflategate picture from "Norfolk, Virginia, of all places," but it's locked.
I just didn't want to leave this line unsaid so that only LaMareon and I know about it.
