Steelers Safety Mike Mitchell guarantees victory vs Patriots

Who was that last steelers moron safety who was yapping? Ryan Clark? All I remember is Brady throwing over his head like 3 times for long TD’s and getting in his face “who sucks now”? Or something along those lines. Those who don’t study history are doomed to repeat it. Should be entertaining watching Brady pick this idiot apart.

Edit: beat me to it, Anthony smith.

I like it ... maybe they don't make it to the AFC Championship dance.

That would suck. It would be great if they were to beat Jax, so NE could have a 3rd consecutive bye week.

Perfect example of why Tomlin will never win a SuperBowl and why the Patriots are superior to the Steelers. No discipline in these clowns.
He’s already won a SB in his second or third year back in 2008. I agree that they have a lack of discipline.

It played better than the offensive side of the ball in Sb 46 (and the title game), including a very mediocre Brady.

Brady was putrid in the 2011 title game. He said it himself and should have said it after SB 46, instead of Giselle blaming others on the concourse.
The defense was handed the keys to the game and proceeded to blow it.

I don't blame Tom for the BS safety called on a pass thrown right down the middle of the field. Had never seen that before and have never seen it since.

2009 team had no OC
2010 team had no OC
2011 team had O'Brien as OC

2010 team had O'Brien as OC. Moss and he got into it in the hallway at halftime and Miami and BB had Moss gone within 24 hours, which is one of the wisest moves BB the GM has ever made. It's why Brady played great the rest of the way and won the MVP.

2009, was the transition into a rebuild. I was talking about the 2012 AFC Title game loss where he looked to avenge his god awful performance the year earlier.

You know Coach Coughlin will use it. He loves this stuff.
Doug Marrone? Does Coughlin have much say in the team aside from roster building as VP of football operations? Hope he’s more hands on this week.

No milk for safety Mike Mitchell

I said that exact same thing at the time, but I did see it his past weekend, so they do call it.

I don't like the rule because it could just as easily be a cross-up between the receiver and the QB, where it's hard to prove it was actually grounding.

The bottom line is, that's the rule and on each Brady gaffe in that SB, it cost us a possible 5+ minutes of clock, which in turn contributed heavily to the loss. If he just avoids one of the boneheaded plays, we win.

Yeah, because all he had to do was throw it to the sidelines, right? What on earth possessed him to throw right down the middle of the field where there wasn’t a receiver in sight? I think that’s what the poster is referring to, and in this case I agree with him (unfortunately).

Honestly, I think he's trying to pump his team up and hoping they make him look good.

The defense was handed the keys to the game and proceeded to blow it.

Myth.

The offense severely under-performed based on their capability, to embarrassing proportions, mainly in SB 42.

To this day,I hear about how the greatest offense ever crapped itself on the biggest stage, and the fact is, they're right.

And, ALL defenses are gassed after a 4 hour game in a dome with 80 thousand people in it and heat still in the building from the halftime show. Well known.

I don't care if you're the 2011 Pats D or the 2014 Seattle D. Being gassed is why it's so important to build your team knowing it's an offensive league, where all the rules favor offenses.

If Brady avoids just 1 of the 3 main gaffes he was responsible for, the Pats D allows 13 points, the least since the 2000 Ravens.

I commend the entire 2011 Pats D for playing well above their ceiling, arguably the best they played all year at the right time.

Brady was not great in SB 46. Defense could have bailed him out but it didn’t.

Exactly. The D is punished in an offensive era with rules all favoring offenses, yet somehow Brady automatically played as well in SB 42 and SB 46, similarly to his play in SB 49 and 51?

Laughable to me. Brady is human and has under-performed before.

In all seriousness, if they make it back to a SB, it would be nice for him to have his first even Super Bowl game since SB 39 in Jax, when it was the last time he actually did that, GOAT or not.

In a QB/offensive era, your own QB can't be mediocre or poor.

I’d be mad as hell if I played for the jags. It’s like wtf?

On a side note, Pitt has said all pats fans are dumb, the zones gonna work next time

The defense in 2011 allowed Eli to go 30-40 while allowing the Giants to dominate TOP by almost a quarter of play. You’d have to be special needs to think the defense outplayed Brady that day while, a few posts earlier, whining about the time the intentional grounding took away from the offense. It makes you look like you have an axe to grind - specifically against Brady.
