State of the Board Discussion [Moved to Here]

Now there's a coding challenge for Ian.

I'd like a "partial ignore" feature...we can call it the "married for years" (posting for years?) button where people can talk about anything they want for hours/posts on end and when finally finished the only response is a half-hearted "Sure, I'll get to it in a minute." which may or may not even relate to what was being discussed.
"Fine"

Haven't tried mute. I've used ignore in the past and then empty that list every few months for a clean slate. Mostly just to keep trash out of the alerts notifications that I had no interest in seeing.

Sometimes I clean out the list a lot quicker than that when it's probably just someone (or even me) having a bad day on the board. That happens.

That's the reason I put together the mute vs the ignore...it's a little less invasive. It's an easy way for people to control what they do/don't want to see in a thread without having to ignore a user board-wide since there are some people who are great in the majority of threads and sometimes just happen to get into a bad disagreement that sometimes can take over a thread. This, hopefully, has made that much easier to deal with.
Ian,even though I haven't found it necessary to use the ignore or mute, if it helps with the flow and the overall enjoyment of your great site,I'm all for it.
And who knows? Time may come where I want to use it. Nice to have the option.
As usual, you are looking out for all of us.
I don't visit other boards but I'm confident this continues to be the best in the world.

There's no issue with people venting as long as it's done in a constructive way
I rooted for Drew Bledsoe when he played here, just like I rooted for Byron Dafoe when he was the Bruins' goaltender. Doesn't make the guy Glenn Hall, or Terry Sawchuck or something.

How do you unmute?

How do you unmute?
Scroll back to the top of the thread and click on the number, which will allow you to unmute whoever is on the list in the thread you muted them in. It obviously only stays in the thread, so if they're posting in the next thread you go into, they'll be active in that one unless you mute them again.

How do you unmute?
I did a little digging, here are some screenshots I had posted that shows how it works, if this helps

But in reality it is that black and white with many members of this board. They have not only become Buc fans but they consistent and ardently trash everything about the Patriots.
I don’t know the answer, but I think it’s pretty clear that the dialogue dominating this site diminishes the experience of being a Patriot fan, or at least it does for me.
The tone of this season, if all you knew about the Patriots was what you read on this board is exactly how doomed is this team if misfits being led by the fraudulent idiot who rode Brady’s coattails and his incompetent staff and horrible players.
There is a "pats fan" on here, actually a couple who stay in the brady forum trolling brady worse than a jets fan who doesnt watch football. Who gives a **** who someone roots for, there is no law of who you want to root for, but for any pats fan to trash the best player in their franchises history, they were never a pats fan.
