I have a hard time thinking of Soundgarden without Cornell's vocals.
Maybe it will be great, but Soundgarden without Chris is just a cover band playing their songs.

Same. I was able to see them with NIN in 2014 before he passed. Great show.

There are very rare examples of bands continuing on without their original lead singer. Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, AC/DC and there may be others I can't think of. I wouldn't put Alice in Chains in this category because Jerry Cantrell would sing on many of the songs.

90's Soundgarden was insane though and one of my favorite bands growing up. I was a 90's grunge kid.

I don't care for Taylor Momson. Female rock singers are just too cheesy and try to hard. Linkin Park is embarrassing with their new singer.

Mike McCready joining is fine as Chris, Matt and Mike had the tribute band "Temple of the Dog".

But it was Eddie and Chris' singing that made it what it was.
Now someone could probably sing Eddie's part of Hunger Strike, but there's not many humans that could sing Chris' part and do it justice.
