Pats as a team are...

tied for 12th in points per game at 24.3
are 7th in yards per game at 363.1 (10th passing at 231.8; 8th rushing at 131.3)
are 2nd in first downs per game at 22.1
are tied for 3rd in third downs made at 67, but only 10th in percentage (44.1)
lead the league in fourth downs made with 10, and are tied for 6th is percentage at 66.7
the least penalized team in the league BY FAR... 37 penalties is 13 less than the second least
are tied for fifth in t.o.p at 32.35

the defense is...
8th in points allowed at 20.2
but middle of the pack in yards allowed (both rushing and passing), interceptions (11), and sacks (22)
dead last in forced fumbles (5), defensive touchdowns (0),

you're right, there have been no defensive touchdowns. Thats gonna change this week though.

Points aren't always the best indicator, unless modified for:

A. How times per game a TO or big ST play hands the offense great field position.
B. How many drives there are per game.

B probably isn't a big factor. The grind-the-clock games weren't a large fraction of the overall season to date.
