Mahomes is insane good. It’s amazingly tough to win SBs and he’s won multiples. Some of his most important plays have been in tough spots.

Having said that, this SB reminds us how totally bonkers Brady was when it counted the most. Even in unsuccessful tries, he put the team in a position to win. That guy is - if anything - underrated. Which, in itself, is crazy to say !

It's over we're safe Mahomes ain't going 4-1 in his 30s

Id say Brady’s legacy as goat is safe, yes. ours as goat dynasty/co leader in total rings is still somewhat threatened.

My Main concern is how weak the afc is. They all clam up against kc except cincy. Until one of them steps up kc goes to the bowl year in year out and its any given sunday where they can get every break/call and pull it off. This kc team was obviously not sb caliber but they pretty much had a free ride here and then its any given Sunday like the last 2 years. Fortunately the eagles didn’t let the refs affect it this time.

I disagree with this - Jackson, Allen and Burrow are all generational talents

AFC have unbelievable QB talent

Mahomes and Reid with Kelce have largely held them off aided by Burrow being injured, Jackson choking and Bills being bills

Thats kinda my point, they are all talented but are total choke artists except Cincinnati. Not saying they should blow them out like Philly, philly is a super team atm. But some of us were echoing in the game thread that last night was just as damning to the afc elite as it was to kc. They make this team look unbeatable and its not even that great of a team.

The best thing about this is we'll get another It's Always Sunny episode about what The Gang was doing during the game.

Order restored. Crisis averted. Three peat cancelled.

Another win for our legacy.
We're just like the Miami Dolphins who celebrated our SB loss against the Giants, maintaining their sole claim on an undefeated season.

Tom Brady played in 10 Super Bowls. He won 7, lost 3. All three of those losses were single possession games that he could’ve won.

I think Mahomes is a legend in his own right but despite three titles and an incredible run he got wrecked twice in Super Bowl losses. That never happened to Brady and never would have.

I don’t truly blame Mahomes for this loss. He made some massive mistakes but his receivers could not get open, his line couldn’t block, his backs couldn’t run, his defense couldn’t hold. He was screwed.

KC's window is closing. A lot of their starters are aging out. Their salary cap situation is ugly. Kinda feels like our last SB in 2019. Most of us realized the window was closing. The difference was that we had the GOAT and the staff came up with game plans that beat the Chiefs then the Rams.

Also love how Gronk specifically mentioned brady and bb at halftime as if to say those 2 pulled it off, now lets see if mahomes and reid can.

And i still maintain that these chiefs are no better than the 2018 team we beat. The defense wasn’t quite as good then but having tyeek and kelce in his prime made it impossible for most teams to hold them down for 4 quarters and mahomes was way more dangerous with them. We beat them with a team in 2018 that wasn’t close to our best teams. Add all that up and you’ll see what would happen if the chiefs dynasty went against the 04 pats. Would look alot like last night.

I tried to warn people that the Chiefs just weren't that good this year. They easily could have been 11-6 instead of 15-2. Their point differential - which is an excellent predictor of success - was 11th in the League. In fact, if they had won yesterday, it would have been something like the 4th worst point differential for a Super Bowl champion ever.

And now let me provide another warning that many won't believe:

The Chiefs' window is closing - fast. I know Mahomes still has many years left, but his performance has been very pedestrian the past 2 years (after having arguably the best first-5-years to start a career ever). He has 2 regular season games left before he is on the wrong side of 30. The legs are the first to go and a guy like Mahomes who relies so much on scrambling will hit that wall faster than a Brady or Rodgers. And he certainly ain't going to do any better when Kelce goes. (Kelce, whether he plays next year or not, is increasingly becoming a non-factor).

In all sorts of forums, Chiefs fans are arrogantly - and foolishly - assuming this is a setback but they will contend again next year. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were them.

Not going there yet. But definitely enjoying tonight.
The talking heads counted the Pats done more than once, the Chiefs’ll be back.

Me too. I was hollering loudly even tho it was a blowout.
Let me play devils advocate... maybe just maybe we won't be seeing them again...

They were exposed pretty hard... the bills defense I'm sure was watching that game very carefully.

This is my wish/prediction(lol)... the chiefs get to the playoffs 3 or 4 more years and maybe even get to another afc championship...

However... much like the pats, they will have to suffer through a decade of rebuild to get another serious shot at a superbowl much less multiples.

I dont see kc winning another superbowl for at least a decade.

I hope... lol.

Montana never lost like that in a SB.

You're right he never lost like that in a SB. He did however get absolutely smoked in a divisional round game 49-3 and that came a year after putting up 3 points in a Wild Card Weekend 14 point loss. But let's continue to give Joe Cool a pass in the years he had the good sense to get blown out on a smaller stage. I love me some Montana but he didn't walk on water
