Its whether he's been as good this year.I don't the Pats will miss Slater's 1 forced fumble and zero fumble recoveries on ST in, what, 8 years?????
Hmmm...$$$...If Slater signs elsewhere, that’s the first FA loss where I go Hmmm...(regarding locker room rumors, etc).

I honestly don't get why the locker room environment is so important. They're just in there to put on their jerseys and take them off...
Yep. Healthy he is still a top STer. Hope they can work something out but I'd be shy about paying him $2m a year when he only plays ST.
Seems to me like Ebner got the big ST payday and not Slater

The Vikings locker room is over 6,500 square feet and has 95 lockers. Each locker has an air ventilation system at the top and bottom. However, the most impressive part of the locker room may be the fireplace.
He might be my last suspect in that particular department. Was Slater Deepthroat?
Me also ... but this is strange. He might be my last suspect in that particular department.

My guess is perhaps Slater wants a little more dough and Bill didn't want to give it, and told him to talk to another team or two and see what his market's like, then come back.
It is a little odd, though. Not many guys exemplify the prototypical "Patriot" over the last several years more than Slater does. Has been given/nominated for several different honors by the team IIRC. Weird.
What'd Brady6 say? It’s either your take or Brady6 hit it on the head.
