I would extend Gilmore, at the right price, which is right around 16 per IMO. McCourty will call it quits after this season, and Jackson won’t be sticking around, he will get much more on the open market if he has a strong season . Gilmore, Jones, and Duggar gives them a solid base to build on, and losing both starting CB’s would really set them back. Belichick clearly wants to get this team back to a championship level as soon as possible so maintaining stability on each unit while building will be a priority, I’m guessing that the cap will go up significantly next off-season, and they should be able to continue to add important pieces if that happens.
