The defense we had before a Buffalo Bills-esque catastrophe of injuries was right up there with Seattle's. If Collins becomes the star many think he will and with Revis and Browner I don't see why we can't have the best defense in the NFL.

Only because people continue to insist that he's the best in the game, bar none. He's elite, but he's not the best. That title still belongs to Brady. Rodgers is in a battle for second place with Brees.

Thomas will always shade to Maxwell's side. Chancellor comes down into the box pretty often because he's superior in run support and because Sherman allows him to.

You can still do all this even if Sherman follows the #1 receiver around.

Shallow DE, DT, LB and SS. That's why the Patriots probably won't have the best D in the NFL. That's not to say it can't be very good, but let's be realistic.
