In this video, he has a great idea if they don't postpone it. 7 days, 1 round a night. 7 days of the NFL draft, I am all for just for this year! What do you think?

I understand this. I wouldn’t want to sign a kid to an NFL contract without meeting him face to face. It’s as simple as that.

Dunno....aside from medical check ups....all teams have all the data they need to make sense of this annual crapshoot.

Knowing the Patriots' superior prep, I think it is an advantage for us to proceed ahead....

By this time I'm well onto the next year (2021) so Idc either way. Just let me know where the prospects are going and I'm good.

You would need people that know what they're talking about though. It was tough enough watching Mayock, Gruden types struggle after the big names are gone. Good luck getting solid analysis on 5th, 6th, 7th round picks.

I don't see any significant difference between that and a video call. You can still read body language.

I'll tell you what... If I am controlling the checkbook, I don't want to stroke checks for millions and maybe set my franchise back years in the process because a couple kids facetime well. You'd have to be damn sure. Like rock solid, high character, can't miss type.

It would be great PR for NFL to hold the draft while the nation is starving for entertainment and positive and exciting news to take minds off Pandemic

The NFL teams can survive without the in person visits for one year pre draft

A little off topic but did the NFL, since they host the event, (edit: the scouting combine) have the participants, or at least have them on a future list, be tested for coronavirus. The event was recent and there were college kids from all over the country. You'd think this was on the "to do list". This may have been already discussed but I missed it.

I think they should hold it as scheduled. Yeah you won't be able to do the usual pre-draft stuff, but every team is at the same disadvantage so I see it as being even.

It is not just top prospects. I'm sure every prospect will be available for electronic meetings, now, and on the days of the draft.

Remember when George Costanza locked his keys in his car and his boss thought that George was working day and night for the franchise because his car never moved?

This could be a Pats Costanza moment. The lack of due diligence steering them to a HOF WR by dumb luck.

How do you like last year's draft alone?

1.) A big bodied red zone receiver that missed half of the season, but clearly has some talent.
2.) A 6'3" corner who will see plenty of action this year, IMO.
    3.) Wino...he's gonna be a starter, IMO.
4.) Harris is gonna see more action this year, IMO. He is like BFF with Stidham.
5.) Two OL depth guys who never played last year.
6.) Our current starting QB per the depth chart.

And in 2018, we drafted our starting LT and RB.

Yeah, that's how the NFL avoids having guys like Rae Carruth and Aaron Hernandez.

Agree 100%. In person visits haven’t really meant “good choices”.

Clean, safe entertainment. For a continent that could use a distraction. Ok, so “not all the greatest picks were made” isn’t a huge concern. It’s always a crapshoot.

I want to see it. And I’d love it spaced out over more than three days.

Agree 100%. There is no full proof plan on how to avoid bad picks.

Teams can still (1) watch tape (2) chat with picks (3) get informed via colleges and entourage.
