I cant see it happening. He put himself above the team, not something BB preaches. Wouldnt surprise me if he doesnt even play on Sunday.

I would expect him to start vs Pitt and Indy. Big time addition for these games where Brady will need all the time he can get

Okay, I get that people are pissed at Mankins, but I really don't get this whole "make him inactive" and "send his ass home" sentiment.

The question is whether Mankins makes the Patriots OL better. I have to think, unless he's been sitting on his couch mainlining Cheetos, the answer is unequivocally yes.

uh...this is a good thing as far as the roster is concerned...we add a pro bowl caliber guard half way through the season

i doubt it. he hasn't played a snap since last January against the ravens. i just hope he's ready for Pitt the following week and indy after that. we need some serious help on the left side with speed rushers we are going to face for the rest of the season.

Why is everybody so eager to "punish" Mankins by sitting him? Once he's ready to help, it would punish the team more than Mankins himself.

The Patriots already made their stand. They wouldn't cave, ran up the league's best record without him, and now it appears he's reporting earlier than strictly required. Message sent, now let's play football!

Heh well hopefully he gets one But just wondering if they've worked out an extension, or at least the framework for one.

He wasn't supposed to show until week 10, so him reporting isn't a surprise so much as when he's actually reporting.
