I think the OL could look better with better/quicker decision making from the QB. If Maye does that it's the right move imoThere is nothing “ cowardly” about not being a moron. Putting Maye out there behind this OL is moronic.
Well stated: it's no mystery One Read Brissett take forever to process one muchless Two reads. We'll just have to see i guess. I think the OL could look better with better/quicker decision making from the QB. If Maye does that it's the right move imo

Too small of a sample size and that OL was the worst we've fielded in all 5 games easily. On, what, 3 days of practice? I don't really take much away from that game at any positionHe was sacked twice in 10 snaps against Jets backups.
That's indictment arch for you like things have no chance of getting better.Too small of a sample size and that OL was the worst we've fielded in all 5 games easily. On, what, 3 days of practice? I don't really take much away from that game at any position
Patriots QB Jacoby Brissett on being benched: "I don't think words can really describe how tough it is."
Alex Van Pelt: "Vederian (Lowe)'s playing at a high level. I think he's been our best pass blocker on the edge."Said Lowe and Demontrey Jacobs will start again this weekend.
The truth often is complex, but if you prefer a simpler explanation, it's all good. You seem to have agreed with me on some key points above, but ignore obvious factors like the OL and dissonance within the Pats' leadership. We know there was disagreement from Mayo's messaging in preseason.Sounds convoluted. More likely they drafted Maye knowing he would need development. They knew Brissett would be worse but wouldn't be a turnover machine that would lead to a total calimity while they developed Maye. Fans are getting restless and watching Daniels have a monster season is making everyone want to save face and see if they can get a spark before the fanbase becomes unruly.
I've read your argument before. Aside from the ambiguity of "better," you discard the possibility that while a player may be more talented, it may be in his best interests (and the team's) to allow him to develop more. Drake's shortcomings with form are a key example. While he could have started and outplayed JB (he did in the preseason), habits that could prevent him from becoming elite are harder to address. If you hold him out because of that, he is not a bust. And finally, there have been many rookies that have had rough starts to their careers who eventually become good, and some even became all time greats (Elway, Young, Aikman, etc.)I said before the offseason, we knew what Brissett was and if the rookie wasn't immediately better than him, we had a major bust on our hands. Being somewhat better than Brissett was never the goal for Maye. But now it is because everyone in the org is scared ****less.
I am actually thinking that might be the case. Thats the best antidote, plus hopefully they can run it down their throats as well and that will help.Processing skills right there I hope he gashes the Texans a few times so they have to call the dogs off.

We never had a potential RPO QB until now.I am actually thinking that might be the case. Thats the best antidote, plus hopefully they can run it down their throats as well and that will help.
He isn't going to be back there throwing it 40 times. They will protect him a ton.
I say this if we hang around and this game is remotely close we are going to win it.I am actually thinking that might be the case. Thats the best antidote, plus hopefully they can run it down their throats as well and that will help.

the terrible RB's?
the terrible TE's?
the terrible WR's?
the terrible OG's?
were the OT's misjudged?
========
which were misjudged? Only the QB
Did he cry?Patriots QB Jacoby Brissett on being benched: "I don't think words can really describe how tough it is."
I agree with your overall post. But the need to play maye is just one aspect of things. They found out when reality set in with Ridley and ayuik.. players have more leverage than ever In today's NFL with WR and QB salaries a top 10 WR is going to want to get paid and go to a winning situation. I'm not here looking to change any posters minds.. I'm just stating the obvious. If maye works out guys will come here if not then we will continue paying lesser tier players propping them up to be top tier guys.Free agents aren't going to want to come here unless we are contenders and can throw them the bag. A hypothetical .500 season isn't going to move the dial on that. Even if Maye looks good and they finish decent, every free agent is going to look at the Chiefs, 49'ers, Bills, Ravens etc. If it comes down to just the rookies, they all will choose Daniels and probably Caleb first. Even in our division, the majority of them would choose Rodgers/Allen/Tua as better bets barring Maye having a ROY type season (which won't happen).
The "we need to play Maye to have something to attract FA's" was always just a nonsense golden carrot for people who wanted to rush him out there. Until this team is organically rebuilt to be at least playoff caliber, FA's are going to demand top of market, like every other team that isn't fighting for a Super Bowl
He's been a back up his entire career.. he can wipe his tears with 100 dollar bills.Did he cry?
