all i know is that the last week of the season is division games. I wonder if they'll schedule the Jets for that week - winner takes division.

The only thing I've seen so far is that the Bears will play the Bills in Toronto on November 7th, so the Pats won't be playing either of them that week. Also the Vikings will play the Saints in the kickoff game, so the Pats won't be playing Minnesota in week one. And though it hasn't been formally announced it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that the Pats will play Detroit on Thanksgiving.

Weirdest damn schedule I've ever seen. Eight consecutive home games followed by eight consecutive road games. At least the home games should be in good weather.

Yeah they did, but I think we will still be able to take care of the fish. And it is not yet certain whether or not stone hands will be suspended yet, so we will see.

Goodell has said today that to avoid teams laying down near the end of the regular season when they have not much to play for he has set the schedule throughout the league for the last 3 weeks to be 28 of 48 inter-division games so that many teams will avoid this issue

With that being said,I would expect the Jets and Dolphins to be 2 of those last 3 games for NE

Looking at that schedule apparently the in-division games at the end of the season are limited to only week 17, and not the last two weeks as had been rumored. You can also start to see some of the teams the Pats will not be playing certain weeks now:

Wk 6: Browns
Wk 7: Dolphins
Wk 9: Bengals, Bears, Bills
Wk 10: Pats play Steelers
Wk 12: Pats play Lions
Wk 13: Ravens
Wk 14: Bengals
