SB halftime performance

Loved it because it was the music I was listening to as a teen.

I would have loved to see the 2Pac hologram during California love, would have lost it.
Dre started to play i aint mad atcha on the organ and nothing came of it. Still bitter af about that, dont get why theyd mess with me like that!

I was hoping Cube would show up, but while it wasn't as good as it COULD have been with those guys, it was solid

U2 peaked with WAR, then Bono started to believe his own hype........Prince is the gold standard of modern halftime shows, but this one was better than most......at least we didn't have to suffer through a geriatric boomer band

and the reaction of the gerry callahans of the world makes it all worthwhile

No Super Bowl halftime show will ever be good, but I'll take this one over 2008 Tom Petty.
The Ohio State marching band would make the SB halftime show great.

My only real complaint was you had Snoop and Dre and they didn't do Nuthin but a G Thing.

Both Unforgettable Fire and Joshua Tree were great albums. U2 went to crap after that.

they were both solid, but the writing was clearly on the wall.....kind of like And Justice for All - you could see it was the beginning of the end

i still think Gish was the Pumpkins best work, too.......so maybe it's just me

Yeah, I recognize I Ain't Mad Atcha too. I was about to lose it and then he switched to Still Dre, I think. They did the same thing with Forget about DRE.

I thought is was ok. It's halftime show. Only the really good ones or the really bad ones are memorable, IMO.

I thought Rattle & Hum was pretty good and I didn't hate Achtung Baby, but you're right, not quite as good after those.

I got dinner cleaned up, the dogs outside, and some firewood in. My wife went through a handful of the 70+ applications she's received for a job posting. I thought it served its purpose well.

I just think this 60 second snippet from a bunch of songs never works. play 3 or 4 songs and don't try to shove everyone in. Thought sounds was very poor aswell. Not a hip hop fan by a long shot but was disappointed nonetheless.
Agreed, if you only have time to power eat the crab legs why go to a buffet??

I thought it was going to suck, but it didn't. It was OK. Prince is still #1.

I am a bit biased since U2's Unforgettable Fire tour was the my first concert ever. I didn't think that album or Joshua Tree were signs of the end. If U2 stayed on course with that style of music, they might have done 3-5 more solid albums. The problem is after Joshua Tree and especially Actung Baby, Bono decided they were the Beatles and thought they could be the trend setters in style of music of the times and Edge decided that he could just get by with music trickery rather than actual guitar playing.

I think with Metallica, they decided to change their sound and boxed themselves in a corner. They just didn't seem to know where to go after the Black Album because they wanted to cater to the masses who didn't like their early stuff (at least a lot of them). And it exposed how crappy of a drummer Lars Urlich was. He is a great metal drummer when he mostly has to play fast, but can't play to an actual melody. His drumming on Nothing Else Matters may be the worst drumming I have ever heard for a major rock hit.

Yeah, I forgot about Rattle and Hum. I think the album is overrated but good. And I do like a few songs from Achtung Baby.

I liked it. I listened to that stuff when it came out and still do. Eminem looked cool.

It looks like 75 cent ate 50 cent.

I said last night that it looked like 50 Cent has spent the last decade spending a lot of money on McDonald's dollar menu selections.

His weight goes up and down. He did a movie a year ago and he was super skinny.

My first U2 concert was UF at the Worcester Centrum in 1985

Me too. Did you go the night the lighting scaffolding was coming down and they had to clear everyone from the arena and fix it mid show? That was the one I went to.
