Well said - defenses need to respect the real play design which makes Maye’s ability to create much more dangerous. With Williams, they don’t necessarily need to worry about that as much, because they know he may just be trying to run around from the get-go.

This was Williams MO in college, not great in structure but out of structure was very good. That is not sustainable play in the NFL, imo

He can scramble and make plays down the field that’s a huge part of the reason he comes to life after sucking for 3 Qs.

Lot's of QB's make 4th quarter their bread and butter. Brady couldn't run, but he basically set teams up get carved up in the final stretch.
