Iam sure even if it were to be considered, the salary, the picks and the player(how he checked out of the pats game) will be a factor . Would rather have BB fleece schiano for a DT or two.

Why would we want a WR with a $10M cap hit when we have an emerging rookie in Thompkins who costs peanuts and very well might be pro bowl caliber by the end of the season? For once, the outside WR position is not the problem. We need to get Gronk back healthy and potentially get another tight end who isn't a useless in the passing game. Or big guys up front on defense.

Just wait until Gronk and Amendola come back, and then you'll see just how small a problem we have in the "big play" outside WR department.

He looked like he was picking things up but is he going to be the 5th option with Gronk and Amendola coming back? Do you guys think there's any chance he surpasses Thompkins and/or Edelman?

Nice try, Borges. He played with Brady in the same system with the same route tree for 4 seasons previously.

Gaffney was brought in during the season and was an impact player come the playoffs. Plus, the question isn't really as applicable as it's been most years, because the competition's not some aging veteran who knows the system but just doesn't have the ability anymore. The competition is a trio of rookie WRs who are still trying to get out of their own way out there.

First of all, since we are dealing with fantasy here, BB would never, wo I repeat NEVER, give up what would be necessary in draft picks to pay $10MM/yr for a WR. Hem e just doesn't value them that highly since they are relatively so readily available. However I do believe he would make that kind of investment to get a dominant interior DLman like Gerald McCoy

Brady feels more comfortable with gronk, edelman, amendola and thompkins. Dobson is a fourth option and would be no option at all if this rumor of VJax to NE is true, which i doubt.

He has some fantasy value, but is below the others i mentioned.

I think Brady has a lot of trust with Dobson. On one of the key scoring drives Dobson caught a critical third down pass.
