Rumor: Pats interested in Josh Rosen?

This team needs help at LB and could use another tackle if they give up all that capital. I would hate to give up number 43 as well.

Hey All- I'm not a draftnik so really uninformed on who based on skills, attitude is the right fit for the team at QB.

Is Rosen THE guy?

That would be a lot to give i can imagine with picks number 23 and 31 being a starting point.

Well considering the jets spent 4 picks including #6 overall to move up to 3, id expect our top 4 picks this year and even that may not be enough to get to 4 or 5 overall.

He might have a crappy attitude but BB might be able to fix that but he's the best pocket passer in this draft in my opinion but are they gonna sacrifice the whole draft for him?

Personally I wouldn’t trade our draft for Rosen but the pats brass knows better than anyone.

Next years qb class isn’t as deep but it does have Clayton thorsen, who if developed can be a beast at the next level.

I don't think so. They might ask for future picks. 23, 31, and maybe a future pick. BB won't get fleeced or give all that up for Rosen unless he thinks he's aaron Rodgers 2.0

Agree. That seems to not being something BB believes in doing anyway.

Well I hope we don’t get fleeced like the jets. Just looking at the trade value chart, I’ll be generous and say the jets finish next year middle of the pack which nets Indy a mid 2nd rounder in 2019. They’ve given up 3000 pts to move up to 3 which is valued at 2200. Basically they may have screwed up any chance of a team moving up to 2,4,or 5 overall unless they overpay. Buffalo has the better shot to move up imo just because of where they’re slotted. Those teams wouldn’t mind dropping down but 12 and 22 looks much better than 23 and 31

I am one that thinks that BB would love to coach past brady and show he can win without him so he would like to snag a legit QB prospect.

I really don't think BB cares who he wins with as long as he wins, is enjoying himself and mentoring his sons.

Now....If we believe the **** storm going on w/ Tom/Guerrero/Gronk, if BB thinks he can win at the same rate with another QB and remove headaches in the process, I think he would do it.

Yup, with the Jets moving up to #3 to scoop a QB this makes a trade up scenario for the Pats looks even more nonsensical.

More likely than not, it was just a smokescreen. The Jets "braintrust" then panicked and moved up. We lost zero capital and the Jets paid through the nose - #6 overall plus three 2nd rounders to move up 3 draft slots.

That was dumb in their part because mayfield likely would have been there at 6 but it seems they really like him. That's all i hearing unless it's a smoke screen to draft another QB.

Luke Falk is the draft’s most prolific QB. That’s also his problem :

"....Falk has excellent measurables for an NFL quarterback at 6’4 and 225 pounds, and just looking the part is sometimes enough to get drafted. That and 119 career touchdown passes will get him drafted. From there, it’s up to him to prove big volume quarterbacks can translate their inflated numbers to the pros.

His aforementioned accuracy will give him a solid foundation from which to build. The biggest factor working in his favor, however, is his ability to elevate a wide range of receiving targets. With Falk taking the bulk of his team’s snaps last fall, nine different Cougars targets had at least 30 receptions. In 2016, 10 players had 20 receptions or more.

His success hasn’t been the product of one or two elite receivers through his college career. He’s proven he can hit targets up and down the Cougars’ depth chart and retain his upper-tier accuracy. He’s solid when it comes to finding and delivering the ball to open targets in the middle of the field and along the sideline. "

Sorry, forgot to cut-paste this (aka: he loves football and film):

Hannable: Potential Patriots QB target Luke Falk is diehard Tom Brady fan — all the way to TB12 Method

INDIANAPOLIS — Almost every quarterback at the NFL combine has followed Tom Brady’s career, but no one as intensely as Washington State quarterback Luke Falk.

Falk takes things to another level, as he models his entire game after the Patriots quarterback.

Despite being from Logan, Utah, his admiration for Brady began when he was in high school as he took Brady’s traits and implied them to himself in order to be the best quarterback he could be.

“Luke is driven and strives for perfection. Luke knows, and I think Tom Brady has been the greatest role model of that of anybody in the history of football,” Falk’s high school coach Mike Favero said recently. “Luke takes a very comprehensive approach to greatness, or trying to be excellent and perfect. He knows that it encompasses far more than just the game. He is trying to perfect the process, which includes comprehending things all the way from recovery to nutrition to mental toughness to strength-training to techniques, all of those things.”

Falk has watched a ton of Brady tape over the course of his football career, but he also tries to emulate the Patriots quarterback off the field as well, which includes the amount of preparation it takes to perform well on game day.

“That kid with film, that is his middle name,” Madison said. “Some coaches have told him to tone it down with the film, that’s how much film he watches.

I would hate that. Way too much to give up on a prospect that while he has upside has several issues. Now I hope he doesn't fall.

And I say that as one of the people probably higher on Rosen than the average Patriots fan. He has struggled to see the field and feel pressure as much as you'd like. I worry about his ability to make good decisions under pressure. Some of these issues are big red flags as if they are there and real they are some of the hardest things for a QB to improve.
