the slander I am receiving from this thread makes me want the to close it. I said in the beginning that if you don’t believe my sources then please don’t bother and continue to get duped
hanging by every word. Lol.
It was spelled out early on. I am perfectly fine if this thread gets deleted. All I will finish with is the Pats fan base has a huge lack of respect for the past 20 years and what has been done. The fact that people want to shove Brady out of the door is preposterous.
I look forward to 2 more years of Brady and hopefully a 3rd.
What you're not factoring in is that you aren't the first to approach the board with "inside info." It's just human nature to have a tongue-in-cheek reaction.
At this point in negotiations (or non-negotiations), think about what your "sources" are providing: either (a) purposeful leaks to manipulate public sentiment, or (b) whatever seemed like it might be true.
If they have photos of signed documents, that's a data point (pending verification.) But beyond that?
Especially in the case of a BB, he considers any quantum of information to have distinct value, from all indications. If there is anything on the line, his past behavior supports the notion that he will not give away information for free, because information is inherently a thing of value.
If Brady's camp behaves differently, for reasons
other that manipulation of fan sentiment, I have not seen it. They went so far as to participate in a mind-**** ad
during the Super Bowl. I believe some product was involved too ha ha (Hulu)... but the subject was clearly TFB's return, and fan manipulation was the game. He's certainly not above it, even if "just for fun."
I'm not playing the "My insider source says..." game. I've seen it too often. You're probably seeing a lot of people who've also seen it too often.
In the end, there's only one thing that matters until the document's signed -- it is not yet signed.
There's only one thing that matters once it is signed... it is signed.
Tantalizing as it is to have an oracle declare that so-and-so thinks such-and-such, the cat is both alive and dead until the box is opened (I know, I'm no fun.)
