I like Mapu in that he can play all 4 ST groups. as a gunner he can shed blocks, chase down returners and is a sure tackler
him being a 5th S and 8th LB is a bonus.
I prefer Mapu over Baker for ST, with Baker also being that 6th or 7th WR

I assume both make it to the PS, but Mapu offers more immediate help

Javon Baker will not be coveted by anybody. Have you seen the WR depth chart for Texans and Bucs?? I don't think they can keep everybody. Some intriguing players might become available.

There is much more buzz about Baker as a special teams ace than his potential as a receiver. If he makes the team it will be as a gunner who is an emergency WR ala Slater.

Another LB: Mapu? a free agent?

I usually favor the additional lineman. Usually, the coach disagrees. Mapu does have more talent than the other two. The open question is how useful he would be in addition to what we have.

I’d like to have another DT but I’m excited about Tonga and Freeman so if they stay healthy there won’t be reps for a 5. I’m disappointed we didn’t do better than Pharms as that choice.
You know I’m not an Ellis fan but love Gibbens. Mapu would be a good role player for that group who could grow into more. This is the dream defense for his skillset.

If Chiasson flops we are going to struggle getting outside pressure.
I would be surprised to see Jennings also working at LB.

Very excited to see old school LB Spillane.

Bourne was apparently rolled up on in the Washington joint practice and is not practicing this week

I don’t think a 7(?) year vet loses a job over missing a week or 2.
If Boutte and/or Williams struggle Bourne could put up numbers opposite Diggs, while Hollins won’t catch passes but get praised for being a good guy and trying hard.

He's still a punk.
Maybe he's grown up a bit. Dunno.

Some sort of event with WWE Divas and failed draft picks. We can call it Busts. Make it part of Hall of Fame weekend and reveal the new statues too. What do you call a statue that's just a head again?

My focus on these roster battles. Of course, we could see additions from other teams.

OFFENSE
OT: Lowe or Jacobs
IOL (pick 3): Strange, Wallace, Brown, Robinson
6th WR: Baker or Chism
7th WR or 3rd TE: Baker, Chism, Bell (Westover has a spot as our FB)

DEFENSE
3rd OLB: Jennings, Swinson, Rice or Ponder
10th DB: Battle or Pettus or Epps

SPECIAL TEAMS
K: Borregales or Romo

I think with the Flexibility we'll have with a guy like Cole Strange; who could back-up all Three Interior spots. We could get creative with our Final Roster. IOL -Men like S Sow Sow and L Robinson and Benny Brown are easy additions to our Practice Squad. This would enable us to load up on certain positions ie... WR's we could possible carry seven there. Also I am in favor of carrying extra Tackles ie.. . Lowe - Jacobs and Bryant. My Roster or the Final Offensive Line would be...

Starters

Will Campbell - Wilson - Bradbury - Onwenu - Corpse Mosses

Back-ups

Bryant - Jacobs - Lowe - Cole Strange and Caedan Wallace.

That's Ten Offensive linemen the norm for most Teams.
