good to know

To summarize (for the moment):

Only player eligible to return from IR now is McClellin.

4 players are eligible to return from NFI: T Garcia, T Jelks, G Farris, DE K.Davis

Note: Team can bring back 2 players from either lists*

Players released from IR w settlement can be re-signed by NE after x-weeks of settlement + 3 weeks. For the moment this applies to Hamilton and DE Vereen.
(IIRC Gaffney was re-signed like that last yr)

Other candidates: WR Lucien, TE Lengel, CB Killings, DE Kidder, DT Augusta

Players w reported season ending inj: Edelman, Cyrus Jones, Rivers

_____
*At any time after six weeks have elapsed since a player was placed on Reserve/Injured or Reserve/Non-Football Injury/Illness, each club is permitted to designate two players for return from either list to the club’s 53-player Active/Inactive List.

"two players from either list", meaning two players total?
OR
"two players from each list", meaning four players total?

unfortunately the first is how i understand it. not sure if PUP counts in as well since it is otherwise similar to NFI. Hopefully Miguel jumps in here . but i guess its hard to find pieces in this hectic week.

maybe a sticky thread with all the basic roster rules - fully confirmed, concise - could be a good idea because everybody is struggling . incl. Miguel (and as Lombardi says many people around the league as well incl. F.O.s)

making rules simpler, less restrictive - by NFL* - would be an even better idea..

another Pat cut finds some solid interest..

You want Croston and Fleming as the only LT options in case of injury?

Waddle beat out two players to start on Detroit, then was injured there and here.

Without Solder, we need a legitimate LT backup. He's one. They aren't easy to find. I believe Croston will be moving to guard.
Adrian the Waddle never started even one game at LT for the Loins.

People really need to put this particular myth behind them.

He is not - repeat, NOT - any kind of option at LT. For better or worse, our backup LT, for now, is Fleming.

Actually Waddle is Solders backup. He probably wouldn't make the team if he was primarily a RT like Cannon.

You are correct. Waddle did not start at LT for the Lions. All his starts were at left tackle. HOWEVER, you're talking out your ass by saying he's not an option at LT. He's practiced there for 2 years with the Pats and took snaps there with the Lions.
Waddle also took over for Vollmer and did a good job until he, himself, suffered a season ending shoulder injury.

Kyed sketchy as always. If I understood Miguel correctly he can sign with another team only after the settlement period is over. With Pats three weeks later.

No foxboro flue then.. ;)

This belongs here as well i guess . for the moment

The Patriots had the following free agents in for workouts:
LB Akeem Ayers, QB Thad Lewis, LB Nicholas Grigsby, TE Ryan O'Malley, WR Jeremy Ross and LB Antwione Williams.

PS QB process starting..

Intriguing list.

Ayers would be the no brainer if someone got hurt

My mistake

Ayers, QB Lewis, Ross (returner) - shadow roster tryouts id guess.
Intrigued by TE Ryan O'Malley 6’6,285, good blocker, small school beast

Crap! I'm finally relieved of having to type O'syzygy and now we may get an O'M... ?? What is with BB's sudden infatuation with Irish TE's?
