Go look at the Bills board. Half are back on the we can go 14-2 bandwagon. And now, they are saying that the Cards stink and are beatable. And the Pats are a joke and will easily be beatable.
Mental illness is a real, real thing.
Plenty of people are speculating on whether Rex will get fired or not during this season. My question is whether we, as Pats fans, want Rex to stay or for him to be replaced by the Bills' front office.
On one hand, Rex plays us tough twice a year compared to the cakewalks we used to have against the Bills. Having him gone could ensure a return to easy picking with the Bills due to their management being garbage. Under Ryan, the Bills are mediocre but also have the chance to knock the Pats off a game each year.
On the other, what happens if the Bills finally wise up and hire a legit coach who can turn their organization around? Isn't it better to stick with Rex because it means the Bills don't have a chance to emerge as a playoff franchise?
Overall, as a Pats fan what would you prefer happens to Rex this season or right after it?
The success was a long time ago and not exactly bellecjickian.I don't care if he stays in BUF but I want him in the AFCE. So I voted "against firing".
Rex should be a DC. He hasn't adapted well to HC. Success in NY early has given way to mediocre (at best) play.
If the Bills go 0-4, it's tough to think that Bills ownership wouldn't perform a Rexorcism.
The only bigger train wreck than Rex is Pegula ...
Unfortunately, once a Rex team starts to suck they go into a deep spiral of suckage, so I think it'll be very difficult for him to last out the season. The owners probably will have to make a change fairly soon.I'm pretty well aligned with your third paragraph. As long as Rex is around, the Bills won't be good. Therefore, I want him around as long as possible.
I remember how he pumped up his fan base for the game at BUF last year in week 2 but we kicked their ass. The final score was 40-32 but it was 37-13 going into the 4th and they scored 19 in what really was garbage time, it really wasn't close. The home game in week 11 was a lot closer at 20-13 but we were pretty banged up at that point in the season and the refs took away a sure TD by blowing the whistle early. Bottom line, the Jills usually don't roll over, but I don't think of them as one of the tougher opponents we face.Rex has played us pretty tough in the past, but it's starting to look like he may have exhausted his bag of tricks. It'll be interesting to see how they play us this year.
Somehow I don't think the BUF fan base would be all that thrilled to have a Pats coordinator as HC, and I think those two guys would prefer to not be in the NFCE if they have a choice, but of course if push came to shove if the job is offered they'd take it, it's too much money to pass up.Concern is Patricia or Mcdaniels takes the head coach job.
He also sucks at getting his players to play with discipline, they always seem to pick up lots of penalties.Rex is a really, really bad personnel evaluator and the variance of all his gambling with casino blitzes has swung the other way.
It's funny cause he loses.I vote for the firing of Rex simply so that I don't have to see and listen to the bubbling idiot on the local airwaves anymore.
No he isn't.Rex is a great X's and O's guy in terms of designing game plans and probably one of the best Defensive coordinators in the league.
If you feel sorry for losers. He's also a naturally charismatic front-man with media. It strange, but as obnoxious as his buffoon-like antics and trash talking are against the Pats and other teams, I think there's something very likable about him.
On that I agree.[/QUOTE]Bottom line with Rex though, is that he doesn't have the mind or temperment to be an NFL head coach.
