This is a consistent problem with with immature QB's like Newton, Flacco, RG3 , and etc.. they talk but cant produce, and always an excuse. Saying something like this when TB, Rogers, Brees, and luck are playing really shows where their head is at, and why they will probably never make it.

The best players know that actions speak louder than words. Say little and play great. Some of these QBs seem to want to say they're great but play little.

I'd take Flacco over Luck at this point.

But your point is well taken.

IMO it's hard to gauge Luck because he constantly has to put the team on his back and throw-throw-throw to keep things competitive, which leads to dumb mistakes. Against a bad or unmotivated team he looks pretty good (i.e. vs Denver in the playoffs last year), but against a team that can stomp his defense he looks awful (i.e. recent Patriots games). His offensive line is also nothing to write home about and not much running game to speak of. One guy can only carry a team so far.

Never had a losing season, 10-5 playoff record. He's flawed, but he's definitely legit.

It is close but Flacco has proved himself by playing extremely well throughout the playoffs and earned a SB ring. The Ravens OL was rated better than the Colts last year but the Colts OL still ranked among the top 10 FWIW.

Flacco is definitely a great QB in the playoffs. The problem is getting to the playoffs, as he is a pretty average QB for most the regular season. I would definitely take Luck over Flacco, when looking at the whole season. But, I can understand the other viewpoint.

Yeah Im much more of a Luck guy. I think if you stick him on NE offence or NO with SP or BB when we where good he would do better than FLacco with those weapons.

That is the thing with Flacco. It seems like he daydreams through the regular season and then wakes up during the playoffs. No Doz Gate?

You could argue Flacco is the best playoff QB after Brady (yes including Rodgers). Flacco has only missed the playoffs once. If he could get his team HFA once in a while that would be something. Who knows if Luck will win a SB but it certainly doesn't help playing on a mentally weak ass team.
