Underrated from the start, not the flashiest player or biggest arm, but made the plays that needed to be made and became a supreme leader and winner. Also from everything I've heard, a great and highly respectable man.He was drafted in the 17th round of the 1956 draft. Pick 200. Eight qbs were taken ahead of him. First qb taken was earl morrall by the 49ers, with pick 2 of the first round.
his name is Starr, they should’ve known he would be oneRIP

RIP, we lost another legend.
RIP to an extraordinary QB and leader. Probably not as well appreciated as he should be especially in today’s fantasy football addled era, I could see him being derided as a “system Quarterback” **cough**. As we Pats fans surely know, the value of a QB who has full command of the offense, makes great decisions lightning quick, and gets the ball exactly where it needs to be exactly when it needs to get there, gets you championships more than 40 yard dash times, jumping heights, or even how far they can throw it downfield.
