Report: Patriots working to trade Matt Judon to Atlanta (Update: Deal is done)

Nonsense.

When this team flushed Belichick they should have flushed his front office and his coaching wannabes and brought in somebody with at least colorable claims to be able to turn around a program. Like a Harbaugh.

Instead you have Bill's front office without Bill and Bill's defense without Bill. It's not like tree Bill has borne much fruit.

Coddling Maye is transparently part of this program to defer accountability for this front office. If Maye "isn't ready" that defers the possibility of discovery that he might have been a bad pick. That has to terrify Bill's front office left overs. Provides cover for Mayo too.

Again, as far as I'm concerned it's contemptible not to show up in a professional competition. Serendipity is the principle that sometimes you have good fortune. But if you don't even try you won't ever notice that you actually had a chance to win.

I have no doubt that this forfeiture is motivated by the bozos in this clown show trying to defer accountability for as long as they can collect a paycheck and arrange their next move.

Enjoy the suck.
Yeah. It does feel like this. I'm still hoping it's just my good ole, new england skepticism.

Gotta figure what I'm going to do with Sundays now we showed our hands so early: crap show here we come.

It's always healthy to have multiple interests. I encourage this even when the team is good.

Another point that just occurred to me:

Even if you like this deal you should be pissed that we're doing it now instead of before the 2024 draft
Yep probably could have picked another OT in the Third Round the more the merrier.

I'm usually Patriots first force of habit but to know you have already lost before it's all started is very disconcerting.

Peppers was a first round pick who was having a good career but for injuries. If he was healthy we never would have been able to sign him for anywhere near what we did.
I hope your right but just picking out a JAG and saying he’s going to be a star doesn’t have good odds.
I get your point. Oshea was another player that battled Injury. Some times players don't fit in certain schemes for a team.

The winning teams have one thing in common... talented players. It doesn't matter if you have an average HC. You can still win if you have good players. The opposite is not true though. Even the greatest HC in the world isn't winning without talented players.

The QB position has always been important but it seems more important now that the rules favor the passing offense. I'm a run game and defense fan mostly but Brady changed that.
I agree with you for the most part. However, one can squeak by to luck out on a SB win with an average HC. Consistently winning requires a really good HC.

And we just traded away his best role model on the field.
You mean the guy throwing tantrums on the sideline not practicing? I'm mostly kidding. That does suck.

Hard to think I might not be looking forward to Sundays now thanks Patriots brass. On the bright side we won't have many primes time games so an old geezer like me can get to bed on time. No 2-15 Team should keep anybody up.
I hear you. Prime time games are tough lol

It's not live and die with every game anymore. That's relaxing in a way I guess. No being up all night annoyed with every loss or trying to calm adrenaline down after a close win.

There are plenty of good and interesting reasons to watch Patriots games this year, regardless of wins/losses. Whether any of them actually resonate with you is a matter of personal preference, and depends very much on what you get out of football in general.

Pats got more for Judon than they did for Randy Moss. With Moss we also had to send a 7th round pick...

PF2.. I know it may feel bleak.. but let's remember bill ... if still here makes the same moves.. but we have alot of young guys that need playing time. Just like Jennings and all the young guys in the secondary got Last season in the secondary.. I still don't believe we will be pitiful offensively.. it's 100% about Drake and the young guys going forward...

This is the reality where we are...

When mayo kicked judon out of practice for causing a scene, I knew that judon would be traded.
Your right. This was a typical patriots move we all saw coming. Curran seems to believe he was offered a nice bump for this season but wanted to be paid among the top rushers.. 20 plus million...
