Agreed, it's unfair how many injuries this poor kid has gone through. Even that great 2011 season he got hurt in the AFCCG and was a non factor in the Super Bowl. He can be an alltime great, the football gods owe him several injury free seasons. One of my favorite players ever to play the game. I can't wait to see him back out there.
I don't see that Gronk is "aiming for" Game One being excellent news. That's excellent news. With him back into the fold, we could conceivably go 4-0 against that schedule until Browner comes back and rounds out the defense. Otherwise, I could see one loss in there somewhere.
100%. Aim for when he's 100% healthy. I don't give a rat's ass which week that is.
I can't argue with that goal, but I don't think it's likely to be a black-or-white decision. Three doctors could give you three different opinions, plus "healed" and "recovered" aren't necessarily the same thing when you're talking about elite athletes. Are we more concerned with risk of reinjury or effectiveness on the field? Is "100% healthy" the same as "100% strength" or "100% speed"? Etc.
If only people were like cell phones, with recharge meters that read out "100%".
